I have a B7100 that I’m trying to get running. It was turning over last time I messed with it, but wouldn’t fire. Now, it just goes part of a revolution, and acts like it get stuck. The battery is good, and the starter checked out okay. When I had the starter off, I was able to rotate the engine an entire revolution with a screwdriver on the flywheel, so it’s not siezed up. I appreciate any advice you guys can offer.

I made a YouTube video of what it’s doing, but I’m not allowed to post the link here. If you search “Kubota B7100 won’t turn over” you’ll find it.

Thanks!

Any chance it's hydro locked? Is it out in the weather with an open exhaust or intake?

I think it spent a lot of its life outdoors, but it’s been indoors for the last several months that I’ve had it.

After I think your 5th post you can post links and pics. That's a pretty normal spam prevention procedure for small boards that we held off from implementing till spammers just made it impossible to not impose it anymore.

Ive finally gotten a chance to mess with this. I have the lines off, and I’m about to remove the injectors. The WSM says “Detach the nozzle holder using a 1.0630 in. Nozzle holder socket wrench”. I think that’s 27mm.

Do you guys have a special tool for this, or do you just use a big open end wrench?

I figured it out. It was Hydrolocked as you guys expected. She shot a plume of water of the middle cylinder.

I put the injectors back in, bled the fuel system, and got it running for the first time this evening. It sounds pretty good, and seems to drive just fine, so I’m really pleased that there doesn’t appear to be any major internal damage.

Would a bad head gasket be the likely cause of the hydrolock? The previous owner thought it needed one, but he didn’t explain how he came to that conclusion.

Thanks for your help!!
