I'm in serious need of some weight on the front after doing some wheelies trying to test my tiller. What is a good price for suitcase weights? I found these at the MIL's house but don't think they'll work:rolleyes:

How about a square 2x6 form, drill through holes, couple pieces of rebar and a few sacks of premix...trowel it off pretty, maybe some orange cement die

Sounds too permanent to me.....and too heavy to easily remove. Whatever I do it will of course be ORANGE!;)

I had a piece of 1" thick flat stock that was 2'x2'. had it cut in half and notched to fit in where the suitcase weights go. Added right around 150lbs to the front.

Go back to the scrap yard and look for some cast iron scrap and bolt it on. ;)

I went to the tractor junkyard hoping to find some proper suitcase weights. The 25 or so B and L model Kubotas had no weights. The yard is also part of an Iseki/NH/Ford dealership. The parts manager showed me some Iseki 20kg suitcase weights for around $50 each which I passed on for now for two reasons:
1. The name Iseki cast into the weights and
2. The Kubota service guy that checked out Auntie's B2440 said 20kg weights were around $30

Went to the dealer for parts. Oil filter -no problem. Air filter - NIS. Fuel filter - nothing in the computer. Same thing for glow plugs and hydraulic screen. Any suggestions? Did get a toplink and 3 20Kg suitcase weights.

Glow plug part# is 15221-6551-2, but you can get NGK Y-106-1 as it's the equivalent.

For the fuel and air filter, check further down on the home page under Gray Market. There's cross-reference lists. E.g. for fuel filter check here.

That's the Kubota # I gave the parts guy for the plugs. Nothing in the computer. I'm planning to go elsewhere with the NGK #. The air and fuel #'s I used were from this site. Air filter is a special order item and fuel filter # was not found in the computer. Will take the old filter with me next time I'm out.

I'd say go elsewhere for the air and fuel filters too. Hydraulic screen is bit of a bummer, though. Is the old one damaged?

I responded before but I guess it went into cyberspace:confused:
I wanted a screen to be on the shelf for insurance in case the old one is bad or I mess up the current one taking it out.

Do what us folks in remote areas do, Mail order, EBay and others can really be a lifesaver.
How are shipping costs from states to Thailand?
Or is it better to buy things like that via OZ?

Been so long since I've ordered anything I can't remember the cost. Wasn't too much.

Good day Tomcat,

I'm new to this and French Canadian so I might be short on words or expressions sometimes but, don't worry, I've got exactly the same tractor as you have and parts are easily availaible. Problem is that some dealer won't recognise grey market and say that they don't have the parts so, you'll have to play a little game.
Your tractor is a mix of B6000 and B7100 so, once you've identified the part, look it up in one of the book and tell the dealer it's for a B6000 or B7100 with the part number from the part book. They're available for free on the net. But, if you want to be sure that you've got the right part, send an EMail to Vic at ancreage outfitters and he'll provide you with a paper copy of the original Japanese manual. acreageoutfitters@hotmail.com
then you cross refenrence your numbers and you'll be sure to get the right part. Regarding your Transmission/differential/hydrolique filter, the part number is 66021-36390 and the recommanded oil is TDH, not 90. If you have any other questions don't hesitate but don't expect an answer to soon as I open up my computer once every other day. Good luck.

Thanks for the info Denis. That's a different part # than the one I have. I'll give it a try next time I'm at the dealer. I've been using the B6000 WSM as a reference and also collecting part #'s all over the web.
