I have a 1988 B6200d 4x4 and while finishing the last row of mowing today, i depressed the clutch and the tractor kept going, I have no resistance on clutch other than the pedal spring. Before that it worked fine and made no weird noises. I reached my hand inside the bottom hole and \I can feel the forks moving with pedal, but the throwout bearing is not moving. Can I free it without splitting tractor?

When is pressed the clutch that last time it almost felt like something let go or broke. Could the shift fork dislodged from the release bearing, bushing?

It sounds like the fork is not in the groove in the bearing holder. Maybe the fork broke or wore down too much to stay in place. Probably only way to know and fix is to separate the engine from the clutch.

Could be the clutch release bearing is stuck due to lack of lubrication. There's a hidden grease fitting on the B6200 that has probably never been lubed. I don't think this grease fitting is mentioned in the Kubota owners manual. Here's a quote from an excellent article about Kubota clutches published at Orange Tractor Talks:

B Series Kubota tractors have a serviceable release bearing. A grease zerk is accessible from the side of the transmission tunnel. A few strokes keeps that bearing moving freely. Use care not to dislodge the small return spring attached to the bearing.

It's actually the bearing holder that is serviceable. The grease is to make it slide easier on the shaft. No grease (from that zert) ever gets to the throw out bearing unless so much grease in pumped in you have an mess. Then you have more troubles, like a clutch that slips.

Took mower off tonight and got a good view of the carrier and clutch fork. the carrier moved freely and had lots of grease. The fork however was toast. Looks like one side has been broke for a while and the other is what just broke.

So this is good as I am able to replace that without splitting the tractor. However, should I be concerned that something else cause the fork to break, or is it just age? I had no noise or clutch issue before this...

Probably just old age did it in.

Good thing is you can get it, and there was a change in the part# so maybe the original part# had a flaw.
