The new pup was a day or two after he arrived. He was just 8 weeks old and about 2 pounds

. Now at 18 weeks, he has changed from a lovable little puppy to a 4-pound terror.

Mom’s been away 10 days.

I think he senses she’s due back….(actually much later overnight)

Maybe it’s because he saw me with the vacuum cleaner…🤓

It's hard on them when one of use are away
True.

Mom walks or runs with him 2-4 miles per day.

Dad doesn’t do that. My work schedule doesn’t allow. (Maybe after I retire 😉)

That said, several of our dogs have seemed to know my typical time home from work and look for me with anticipation.

My wife thinks our boy hears the diesel at the end of the road. He often wants to go outside 10 min before I get home. I don't even get home at the same time every day!

All my dogs could tell time better then me, I was always late and my wife was never cranky at the dogs so we'll just let that go ok.

I believe somehow mine know the difference between my truck and others that seem to be same make. Same for the spousal unit car…the dogs seem to know. They hear or sense something before we get home.

I believe they can sense things they don’t see as well…hard to say what they see, smell, or somehow sense, but they seem to have some extraordinary senses. 🥃

Mine always knew the sound of my diesel car, and when I got a new diesel it took them about a week to reprogram to know I was on the way down the driveway. The only other diesel that they got excited about was the UPS truck. The driver would always have cookies for them. They were on the truck before he even had time to pick up the package from the rear of the truck.

We call this Geddy’s “Abby spot”.

Abby is a GSD across the road. They can oogle each other from here. They’ve never been up close to each other.

Abby talks to him. He’s pretty stoic.

Almost 2 now; he’s grown to be a pretty handsome boy. About 75 pounds. Decent size for a Boxer, but far from the 90+ of his predecessor Ollie.

He’s a very good-natured/ happy guy. Abby is a sweetheart also.

Daughter, her grandkids and Da Dogz. Dad Crichton on the left weighed in at the vet at 114 pounds. His son Dargo on the right tipped the scales at 159!!!

He is on a diet. He is not happy.

My daughter’s apartment building burned (careless smoking). Her dog woke her up & gave her those precious seconds to get out of harms way. I am treating this pup very good (like usual). She is a Pit/Aussie cross rescue animal.
