You could pick up a PTO spline drive hydro pump and do a little better running the splitter cylinder with that and a reservoir. My neighbor does this but its still to slow for me.

Almost universal. There are 2 types but one type is much more common than the other. You'll probably be compatible. I just bought a WR Long 3rd function kit and it works great with my EA single lid. The send the grapple with the most common connectors unless you specify otherwise.

I keep a few strips of those stick on adhesive stair tread strips in the tool box. If I have a really stuck filter its probably one that some other wrench ape installed. A wrap of friction tape stuck on the filter and a good strap wrench have always worked for me.

I have a LA481 also. It has always made a sound like you describe that I'm sure is just HF moving fast thru the valve. It is most noticeable if I drop the frame quickly. Welcome to the forum.
