    M6950 Injector Pump Removal

I think that (120) is a spacer and it is used to keep (130) from bottoming out. You remove the center bolt and both (130) then put the (130) back in and they will bottom out to remove the gear. You want to put the center bolt back in and leave it loose, 1-1.5 turns. Then put the 2 (130) in just...

    V2203 idi swap to di

I found this post because I had the same question. Cory87 were you able to come up with the answer?

    L3800 Tie rod removal

If you have a torx set of sockets you can find one that will snuggly tap into the center hole. The 6 points of the torx star are the best easy out. You shouldn't be under the tractor 5 minutes. As for the thread size I'd just have the Harbor Freight assortment kit handy.

RTV900 rear brake cylinders do not return to free

Thank you for that. I have never tried to switch gears when moving. It slows so quickly when I let off the throttle pedal. By loosening the brake adjusters it seems the problem has been neutralized. I say that because when parking in the Florida sun the wheel cylinders will not stay bottomed...

RTV900 rear brake cylinders do not return to free

What I have done this morning (before reading these great ideas) was I checked for slack in the parking cables. It has some. Loosened each side wheel cylinder about 1 turn, just so I'd have more travel in the pedal. Checked the pedal to make sure it wasn't topping out and t does not. And the...

RTV900 rear brake cylinders do not return to free

I am working on the rear so no calipers but I like the idea that the pedal may not be returning to 'vent' off the pressure. I'll check that this afternoon. Maybe the rod is adjustable and can be shortened. Last night it did it again and I cracked the bleeders in the back. These was no pressure...

The PRICE of super UDT2 - are you kidding?

Has anyone seen or considered this? It looks to meet all specs. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071NHJXTH/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 On a 13 year old tractor that's out of warranty could it hurt?

RTV900 rear brake cylinders do not return to free

Has anyone seen this where you start to go either direction and it feels like the brake is on? I hardly ever use the brake but it seems to apply itself. There are 2 cylinders on the back and when it wants to drag these "wheel" cylinders are extended some. I use a screw driver like a pry bar, I...

Gear oil vs UDT in front axle

It's been my experience that full synthetic changeovers always result in leaks or oil consumption. We have a Toyota that was started on synthetic and no issues. I 'think' it has smaller molecules and not only flows better but flows where the conventional oil can't. If the book calls for either...

    M6040 3 point adjustment

Dave, Thanks for that. I should have mentioned I moved them today from A to B. It did gain me a little. I gained 3" by changing. Not enough to feel good about my brother in law not bending 7 more discs next week. The disc rides flat at ground level. Lifted the back is up 9" and the front 4". If...

    M6040 3 point adjustment

I am working on a M6040 hydr 4x4 with cab and loader. It has a cat 1 disc on it. The 3 pt won't lift it off the ground more than 4" and when you cross a road the front row of discs hit the road hard enough to bend a few. Can or should the feedback control adjustment be used to raise the lift...

I seem to have Frankenstein's tractor

I'm thinking super glue and a shiny nickel would be faster and cheaper than a dipstick but a dip stick up front would be nice. It probably had both at some point but it could have got caught on something and pulled out.

    Bh70 bucket cylinder assembly

Here in Florida we have Central Hydraulics. They rebuild cylinders or sell replacements. End to end distance, length of stroke, bore, end size and connections and hose connections all will matter but these guys seem to have or make everything. There has to be some place like this near you.

    M5950 bucket uncurls

Thank you for the replies. I've been moving and had to leave the tractor be a little while. Then a truck transmission. I'll get back to it soon and follow up. Thanks again.

    Bucket Leak Down-L4740

Thanks Wolfman the M5950DT with the 1850A is spilling pallets off the forks if you walk away for a few minutes. I'm going to swap the raise hoses with the curl hoses and see if the problem moves. I'm betting it will need spool seals.

    M5950 bucket uncurls

This tractor has been well used before I got it, but I need to keep it going and safe. The bucket/forks uncurl in just a few minutes. I have no leaking hoses. How do I tell if it's in the control lever assembly or a cylinder or something else? If it's a cylinder how do I tell if it's left or...

L3901 left front wheel tilt inward

My first hint something was going on was a slight leak. The next was the wheel locking up while moving. Not bad but it would skid 6" every once in a while. It was bad. All bearings and seals and the pinion gear. Parts were over $1,200. I did the repair maybe 6 hours.

    LA434 loader freeplay

I have a much bigger machine but I have slack in the mounting pins too. I drop some 1/4" angle iron in the top. It takes up 75% of the slop. From your picture it looks like you have the wrong size pins in the holes. Either look up and get original pins from a dealer for it or measure the holes...

M5950DT front wheel intermittently locking up

The gears and bearings and seals are all back in and after 2 weeks of using it there are no leaks and no noises. Thank you Lord. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
