    RTV900...bought one on auction...

Thank you Sir! That's enough for me to get something mocked up.

    RTV900...bought one on auction...

Is it sheet metal or could it be clutch or brake material? I had this issue with bad brakes and the material plugging up the hydraulic pump on my M5950. I just bought the same RTV900 from a local equipment guy and I'm trying to make a dump bed for it. Could you give me the lift cylinder open and...

    Fan Belt Replacement for M4900

As long as the crankshaft pulley (bottom one) doesn't have a shaft out to a front mounted pump like a lot of older tractors did you should be fine. Back in the day it was easier to get a belt that was put over the pulleys and then stitched back together. Your M4900 should not be that style. It...

    D1703-m-bg

I don't know if this will help anyone here but this seemed like a fair price for new. It is however a 1800 RPM engine so maybe just pump and generator use? I doubt it will go in a RTV...

    RTV900 bed fabrication question

I went by the local Kubota and he had one in for service like mine and let me take measurements. I was surprised how thin the frame under the bed is. All of it except the ram brackets is 1/8" This was not a hydraulic lift bed. I still would like to have the closed length of the ram. Center to...

    RTV900 bed fabrication question

That's what I took off. It was almost 6' high. If i put anything in it I'd have to dump it all out on the ground to get it out. The pivot point is 2' above where the bed should pivot. It could dump into a dumpster I guess?? Not exactly what I want to do with my tools or grand kids or cooler.

    RTV900 bed fabrication question

Thanks NBKING, It looks like your cylinder attaches further back then what a 2008 might. For right now I have a simple pallet bed. The old box should be enough to make an original out of.

    RTV900 bed fabrication question

I just bought a 2008 RTV900. It was used as a trash truck in an RV park. It had a dump bed more like a dumpster. It pivoted at 4'6" above the ground. It wasn't going to work for me. Does anyone have a RTV900 with the dump bed that could post or send me the critical dimensions? front to back left...

L48 engine shuts down when PTO switch moved to engage.

It may think the parking brake is on too. Not sure if that model cares.

ZG227 lack of power right side

Did it happen all of a sudden? There is some kind of 'tow' or freewheel bypass lever on them. Maybe it got pushed?

Is diesel pickup truck synthetic oil proper for our tractors?

All this oil talk is great. I am glad everyone is doing proper oil changes and not neglecting their engines and equipment. After reading 5 pages of thoughts and opinions i have some questions. Am I the only one who likes Dunkin Donuts Bavarian cream? The Amish ladies donuts ya gotta get still...

    M5950DT FEL slow

This is why I posted what I found in the hydraulic system filter, and now a FEL thread turns into a brake repair job. Lance, Thank you for taking the time to tell me what I found. Dead on! Is this normal for the casting to look like it was drilled for clearance? The lining was gone. About 1...

    M5950DT FEL slow

I’m not sure of the hours. 4,712 or 14,712 maybe 24,712? I did the pistons and rings and rod bearings. Bearings were 0.01 and head had signs of a dropped valve so i was not the first one in there for sure. It’s an early one. Maybe 1985. My MF165 had water rust the balls into the plate and oil...

    M5950DT FEL slow

Lance, Thank you for that information. Not what I wanted to hear but certainly what I needed to hear. I have a couple of questions about the process. It looks to be like my MF165 except those are dry brakes. Not knowing where the lining came from I'll do all friction material both sides. Do I...

    M5950DT FEL slow

4 lines on top and just one supply line on the underside. I hooked the gauge in on a tee today. While the bucket was raising slow the gauge tried to move a little, maybe <100 psi, but when it got to the top it took another 20 seconds to max out at 2250 psi. I had a volume problem not a pressure...

    M5950DT FEL slow

FEL valves are mounted to the side of the transmission. 4 hoses off the top go to the 4 remotes on the back. I'll have to see it there are any other hoses underneath. The P/S has it's own pump and reservoir.

    M5950DT FEL slow

The 3 point arms are fast but I've never put a load on them. The remotes on this machine feed the FEL. The lines run along the frame to the back. That's where I checked the pressure.

    M5950DT FEL slow

After the engine rebuild I've finally put the FEL back on and redid the bushings and pins. I'm ready to use the FEL for the first time. It is so slow to raise that it's boring to watch. I looked up the specs and it says 6.4 seconds for full lift of the arms. When I tried to time the raise I...
