Advice on Plowing Snow with Chains or 4x4

I’ve been plowing with turf tires for years, this is my 5th one and no issue at all. My rear tires are loaded and I rarely even need 4WD if I even remember to engage it lol. I doubt you’ll need chains unless you have a blade pushing snow versus a snowblower that displaces it, or your driveway is...

    Buzzing Noise

Thanks for trying, It wasn’t so bad today, was moving some snow and stood behind and I heard the typical buzz but not as bad as yesterday. I did notice that when is was louder it was in gear...my seat was replaced and the former owner bypassed the safety switch so it was idling in low with the...

    Buzzing Noise

Hi, The Model is a BX2230. The last two Kubota’s I owned were a BX1500 about 5 years ago and the most recent was a B3030, both hydrostatic. My tractor has 1200 hours and I just serviced the the HST with the correct Kubota oil and filter. I do hear the noise when idling but it is in gear Sent...

    Buzzing Noise

Hi Folks, Wondering if anyone knows what is causing a buzzing noise in the back of my tractor? I only notice it when I’m standing behind the tractor, it’s kind of loud and a bit annoying. I have a cab and don’t really notice when I’m inside but of course with the diesel running that’s about all...

    Hydrostatic Adjustment

Hello All, When I let off the pedal while in reverse I feel like the tractor abruptly stops, is there an adjustment to soften this and have it gradually stop or is this just a characteristic of these machines with HST. Thank you for any advice you can give. Dave Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

BX23s - found a Pin on ground wondering if anybody can ID

Whatever it is I wouldn't worry, it's too shiny and clean to be a pin that was in use. It definitely looks like a locking pin of some sort Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Control Lever Weatherstripping

Hi, Does anyone have an idea on how I can insulate under the plastic pieces that cover the control levers? I have a cab and in the winter cold air comes right through both sides plus any snow tha'ts thrown off tires. Was hoping someone came up with a solution. Thanks, Dave

Factory Wiring for rear Rops Lights

Hi, Anyone know if there is factory wiring in the rear for work lights on a BX2230? I heard there may be. If so, what controls them? Thank you, Dave

Hi, Does anyone know if you can change the settings so that the newest reply shows up first instead of last? I can't seem to find anything in the settings unless I'm doing something wrong. Certainly annoying when you receive a reply and have to scroll down a few pages to view it...Thanks, Dave

    Wheel Spacers

Just installed the spacers, love the new ride! Definitely feels more stable. Went with the 2" based on fatjay's comment about spacing the wheels wider then the snowblower. The 2" are perfect, 48" across the rear wheels with a 50"snowblower so I should be golden. Thanks for all the advice, Dave

    Wheel Spacers

I found a 2" set for that reason, I think they'll work perfect. Thanks everyone for the input.

    Wheel Spacers

Okay sounds great, my tires are filled so that's done. What about spacers on the front wheels? Leave them alone? Also, I've seen a few spacers listed on eBay and some pictures of tractors that had them and the only concern I see is that on some of them the hub doesn't fit snuggly into the hole...

    Wheel Spacers

Can anyone help with some advice on spacers? I have a Curtis Cab on my tractor and it feels a bit top heavy and I was thinking about adding spacers for stability. Question is, should I, is it a good idea and is it safe? Also, what size would you recommend. Thanks for the help. Dave

    New Seat

Hi again, Finally got my new seat from Northern Tool, a Uni-Pro K&M 125 with Arm Rests. Great seat very comfortable at a reasonable price. Just so you know, this seat does not bolt up using the existing seat bracket holes, not a hard install, need to drill two rear holes 1" further back than...
