    2nd problem with R-14 Tires!

My point was, if the primary use of tractor is attachments on the 3-point hitch, than yes, R-1 tires, due to the width, allow for the most adjustment of the attachments. If buying a new tractor I would like to know this, so I can make an informed decision. If your doing more fel work then, yes...

    Need a supplier?

As I said previously, last set of Trygg fit perfectly, and adjusted down as tires wore down. Trygg website specific to studded chains states “TRYGG SMT Flexi these chains are made to fit unique tire sizes and no extra adjustments should be necessary on new tires.”

    Need a supplier?

The size ordered was for a 11.2/24 tire, what I received was 12”/14”” to long, and also to wide so they would beat on the rims.

    Need a supplier?

If I had bought used chains, I’d have expected to modify them. I bought new, with a reasonable expectation they would fit as advertised.

Nice tractor 😁 May first want to mulch up leaves with roatry cutter, then wet down or rain day, may help push, pull, carry with FEL and box blade. Railway ties could pose a problem, leaching of chemicals, not sure it’s an issue for you. I just have a large compost pile that I turn with tractor...

    Need a supplier?

Backstory : I had a set of Trygg Ice-chains on my L3800 for 13 years, and let them go with the tractor when I sold it. Mistake #1 Once I got my tire ordeal sorted, for my new L2501, I ordered set of ice-chains, from my dealers supplier Walco “Twinway 6 studded chains”. Upon inspection, they...

    2nd problem with R-14 Tires!

I don’t currently own any implements that attach to a drawbar, nor do I own a drawbar. My implements attach to the sway bars, on 3-point hitch, with the R-14 tires, these sway bars had to centered or very close, otherwise the tensioning turnbuckle would rub on the tires and not allow to offset...

I keep a load of 3/4 clear stone, spread with bucket. A pile of sand freezes like concrete.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

R-1’s great in snow and slush. You wants Ice Chains when you get ‘glare ice’, with sloped/hilly roads. I run chains all winter, they’ve saved me more than once, and also allow me to work road during ice conditions, spread material for traction.

    Tire size

My mistake, glad to be corrected 🤔

    Tire size

Replacement tire is wider, not a smaller or larger dimension that would impact the ‘ratio’, so I’d say you have no issue.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Picked-up my new set, of studded chains for tractor, will now have to spend a few hours installing. Had Trygg previously, these Walco Twinway 6 look very similar, and we’re $1000 less. We’ll see how they hold up?

B2920 & attachment advice for small stumps

They may come out easy, I’d try to remove just with bucket and/or push with box blade. Leverage is the key, where possible I push the whole tree down and cut off the roots (stump) . Otherwise, wait for excavator, when doing work, for house!

    Cold Weather Starting

Great, I was just pricing a ‘battery warmer’ , for under $50, sounds like a worthwhile investment, Especially as things have just turned below freezing!

    Cold Weather Starting

Just a question! I head an automotive expert suggest that a ‘battery heater’ can maintain the cranking power of the battery and may be a better alternative to a block heater? Can’t remember if was specific to Diesel engines.
