Noticed you have the step on , my B2650 with 60mmm hits the step if raised all the way up does yours, maybe I got the wrong step?

I would be careful using high pressure as it will bend the fins over and restrict airflow.

I have looked at some of these and the blade tip speed is quiet high, as high as 17000 on some models I would suspect that is why its loud.

I have a B2650 and the 60" deck rides on the ground and gives a great cut, I have also used it suspended in some rough places with good results but the deck is designed to ride on the ground.:)
