    L3800 Known Starting Issue?

Wow. Your battery is 15 years old? Really? Arizona is pretty hard on batteries. In cars, you are lucky to get three years out of one if you drive a lot in summer. The tractor battery lives on a tender and it stays indoors so I am lucky with that one but, it's cranking slower than normal.

    L3800 Known Starting Issue?

My issue was resolved later at the dealer: The HST FWD-REV lawyer switches were way too tightly adjusted. The backed both off and the problem disappeared. Bonus is, I can move my tractor at a snails pace if I need to move it forward or backward without getting on it. Never had another starting...

    Cattle lost in typhoon

A "friend" was flying a plane to Hawaii in the military and his military wife was jump seating along. The copilot wandered off and another wife happened to wander up seconds after the pilot "vented a beef & cheese." His wife, in the jumpseat behind him tactfully elbowed him to which he leaned...

Has anyone ever owned or tried one of these

I have one of these Echo trimmers... Very high quality. Made in Japan. Available at HD. Uses the extra heavy gauge string that has a square profile and cuts like mad. I had wanted to try the saw blade attachment so I bought the blade kit for this machine. Comes with a load of bits. Easy on...

    A little moral dilemma

I think Len is on to something. Buy a tractor. Save it's life. Hate to see them all burned to a crisp. It's the least you can do. Do we need to start a GoFundMe?

    Weird tire issue

Friend of mine almost 30 years ago had a fully restored XKE Jag shod with new Michelin tires. Under 1000 mi into the new tires, he heard a "scat-scat-scat..." sound and pulled over. His tire had launched wire and wiped the paint off the side of his newly painted Jag... Good thing it was just...

US Marshals find 39 missing children in Georgia in 'Operation Not Forgotten'

Gotta love Arizona law. Catch them in the act and you are cleared in hot. 13-411. Justification; use of force in crime prevention; applicability A. A person is justified in threatening or using both physical force and deadly physical force against another if and to the extent the person...

Just a question about your favorite

PMR30 My Marine neighbor keeps one of these and a spare mag handy in his truck. I had never seen one of these but 30 rds per mag is pretty nice and the ballistics of the 22 mag are better than most people think. He said it will penetrate some body armor. And, he reports it doesn't sound like a...

CVT vs. Automatic Transmission in car

My 2006 Suzuki Burgman scooter has a CVT and they are bullet proof. There are owners on the Suzuki owners forum that have 100,000 problem free miles on their bikes and a few tow trailers on their trips. It's a metal-on-metal gear set that is PFM. If done right, they are a marvel. The key is...

On This Day in 1945, Japan Released Me from a POW Camp. Then US Pilots Saved My Life

Burial At Sea Good friend of mine's dad was a tanker in WWII in the deathtrap Sherman's. He was one of only four or five guys who survived out of his initial unit of tankers. Not surprisingly, he never talked about it after coming home. My uncle ran the machinery on a heavy cruiser that...

CVT vs. Automatic Transmission in car

My wife's SUV has an 8-spd and we both love it. Always in the power band and eager to up-shift when needed.

Press is reporting..... (not about tractors or a virus)

When I was a kid in Chicago in 1973 there was a sign on the counter at McDonald's that read, "Due to the meat shortage, a portion of our beef is horse meat." True story.

On This Day in 1945, Japan Released Me from a POW Camp. Then US Pilots Saved My Life

I had the distinct honor to work with 5 former POWs from the Vietnam War who flew at Southwest Airlines. I had the fortune to have dinner one evening with Mike Penn, who spent 8 months in the Hanoi Hilton. What an incredibly nice and gracious human being, considering all he had faced. Having...

    Were you aware?

I got that information about an hour ago. Why is it some people want information banned or censored? In her case, they are supposedly accusing her of "theft." Huh? The story is mind-blowing and it ties a lot of things that make people go "Hmmm?" together. Once you have this knowledge, more...

    Were you aware?

This is long. But, the story is intensely complex. You may have heard bits and pieces but could not tie it together... AI? Internet of Things? Russia collusion? Global Warming? Fake News? It's all according to a very coordinated plan. I have mentioned that nothing can stop what is coming. This...
