    L3200 HST Starter Issuess

Yeah, I'd check that starter relay to start with. The contacts can weld themselves closed, and then things get interesting. Check all the wiring - it got a workout it was not designed to take.

    I needed an extra key...

That's not surprising. Fanboyism is an ugly thing. Some people have such empty lives that they have to find their personal identity in the tools they own, or the cars they drive. Dare to suggest that their favorite chainsaw, truck, tractor, whatever might fall a bit short of divinity, and...

B1750 No lights on dash, no crank, no start

I'd find the main power lead into the dash (probably from the ignitoin switch) and test my way back from there.

    G6200HST starting problems (electrical)

How about just replacing the cables on that old beast? They are probably all in need of it. BestBoatWire.com Choose your length, gauge, and terminal type. I like to get the clear heat shrink on the ends. That way you can see what's going on under there. I have been very happy with the...

RTV 1140 Rough Engine Does not shut off.

It might be sucking oil from the crankcase. That can get ugly.

    B2620 leaking head Gasket?

That's one of those times you are very glad to be stupid! :D Glad you got it sorted out! (y) Hey, just for the sake of anyone reading this thread later, here's a tip: Any time you suspect a blown head gasket or cracked head, before you tear anything apart or buy any parts, spend 20 bucks...

    Finally! ROPS

You got that right! (y) The best piece of safety gear is between your ears, and that one is far from foolproof. The idea that 'a [fill in favorite piece of equipment] will keep me safe' is a very dangerous idea. If the piece of safety gear between your ears is working correctly, you will...

    BX23S Shims = More Pressure - Better/Worse?

Makes sense to me. I"m no expert on hydraulics, but this is basic fluid mechanics. If there is no flow, the pressure should equalize. When fluid is flowing, restrictions can create pressure differences, but static pressure should be the same everywhere.

    Finally! ROPS

Good for you! ROPs saved my boy this summer.

    Alternator upgrade

If you can find a U.S. based VPN service, that should solve your problem.

    BX23S Shims = More Pressure - Better/Worse?

Hmmm. Unless somethign is being used, like raising or lowering the bucket or 3PH, I would think the pressure should be equal throughout the system.

    Glo Plugs

Yep. Measuring the voltage at the GPs is not the correct way to test GPs.

Running a new well supply line. What about laying in 4" conduit and pulling the poly & wire through it?

Yea, I hadn't thought about code. The current setup has the direct burial wire taped to the poly every 5 feet or so, so I wasn't thinking about separating them. I should have remembered that very little attention was paid to code when this house was built. I try to keep everything to code...
