Winter Additive For Diesel - for BX Users / All tractors In General

After watching Project Farm's testing on his YouTube channel (I highly recommend subscribing to it if you haven't already), I have been using Hot Shot's Secret Diesel Winter Anti-Gel. I plan on using it from October- March here in the Northeast.

    Best snow plow angle?

Agreed. The mid frame compact size was best for my property and my needs. It doesn't perform tasks as quickly as full size utility tractors, but if you have a solid plan and reasonable expectations, you can accomplish a great deal.

    Best snow plow angle?

Thank you. Its attached to an LX2610 that I got earlier this month. Still working on finishing the 3rd function install which is why the hoses are coiled up and the pin is still in. I was very happy with it clearing the two feet of snow that we got on Thursday.

    Best snow plow angle?

Yeah once you cut them off I'd either use C clamps or tack it until you find what works best. Here is a picture of my Land Pride blade if it is helpful. Sorry for the snow as its been busy lately.

    Best snow plow angle?

Is your current setup single cylinder angle or dual cylinder angle?

OEM Kubota 3rd Function Kit Install

I'm hoping to get the snapped bolt drilled out tomorrow and tonight I mocked up the hard lines with packaging tape to try to install them like this. Stay tuned...

LX2610 BORA 2" Wheel Spacer Install

@Fatfenders you don't happen to have a mid mount mower do you? I've read mixed reviews on whether 2" spacers would work with a mid mount mower on the B2650/LX2610 and R4 tires. Was hoping someone could confirm if this would work with R14 tires.

    Reverse Alarm for LX2610 / B2650

After further research, I realized the other combo switch requires a seperate hazard switch. Because of that, I may just run a seperate horn switch as I like the idea of being able to warn others when reversing, but not at 4:00am or 11:00pm.

    Reverse Alarm for LX2610 / B2650

There is a switched 12v for the rear work lights under the right rear fender so that's definitely an option I can research further. Also, I noticed the B2650 with the cab option has a horn where the hazard switch is on my ROPS LX2610. Any chance I could just replace the switch and possibly add a...

    Reverse Alarm for LX2610 / B2650

Thank you both as these seem like promising options!

    Reverse Alarm for LX2610 / B2650

Haha thanks for the suggestions. It is a hydrostatic transmission. We got two feet of visible snowflakes yesterday so I got quite a bit of seat time.

    Reverse Alarm for LX2610 / B2650

Good idea thank you. I'm not a big fan either but the neighbors kids run around unsupervised on my property and if it doesn't provide a warning for them, I'm hoping that it annoys the hell out of thier mother.

    Reverse Alarm for LX2610 / B2650

Since neither the LX2610 or the B2650 have reverse lights, is there any way to add a reverse alarm or is everything only mechanical? I know some people hate them but while plowing yesterday I really wished I had one in case people approached unexpectedly.

    Turn signal issue

Are your hazard bulbs leds by any chance? If so, they can only be wired one way instead of either way like incandescent bulbs. If they are, look at the wiring on the working side and swap the wiring on the non working side and see if that corrects it.

    Turn signal issue

I agree with Roadworthy. If the bulbs, fuses, and connections are known to be good, the flasher and switch assemblies would be the next places I'd look.

    60" vs 54" bucket for B2601?

I'm of the opinion that the 60" bucket will be more useful for what I will use it for (moving gravel, dirt, snow, mulch, etc.). For anything other than basic grading, I would rent a machine that is designed to do that kind of work. Just my opinion however.

OEM Kubota 3rd Function Kit Install

So I'm always willing to admit responsibility for poor decisions and this is no exception. I realized today that metric bolt grades are in no way equivalent to standard bolt grades. For those unaware, a grade 5 standard bolt is your average bolt and a grade 8 is a hardened bolt. A grade 2 bolt...

OEM Kubota 3rd Function Kit Install

Yeah I have had similar problems with the bulk bolts there in the past so I purchased two M6 x 40mm individually wrapped cap screws from the drawers. All I can think of is that they were low carbon and I got too aggressive trying to make it fit when tightening initially. Then when I attempted...

OEM Kubota 3rd Function Kit Install

As requested. Sadly, tonight did not go as planned. I removed the boom cylinder and routed the hard lines. This was fairly easy. The issue was when I tried to install the new tube stays to secure the hard lines in the loader arm. Even though I routed them exactly as depicted, the new bolt didn't...
