Hydraulic pressure question on new L2501

Tornado, I have had the same thoughts cross my mind on my L2501. I had no intentions of meddling with anything at the moment, just reading and watching videos like you. I have not used my loader very much, but I did move a bunch of dirt by digging into hard ground and I never felt the loader was...

    Opinions please

This is apples and oranges most likely, but my old Husqvarna mower started cutting weirdly last year. It has 3 blades and the middle blade was cutting much lower and would scalp the ground unless I mowed with the deck raised higher than usual. Well, it turns out, some welds on a bracket that...

Question on removing/installing Backhoe and Loader.

OK, I think I'm good. Fordtech, I will keep the loader bucket trick in mind. Dalola, where I park my tractor is probably the best spot I have right now to remove the loader and backhoe. It is flat, but has a slight slope, so the tractor should be on the same plane. Thanks.

Question on removing/installing Backhoe and Loader.

I will need to remove my backhoe and loader in the near future. It is my understanding the more level the ground, the better, and a nice and level concrete pad would be ideal. Unfortunately, I do not have that right now. A portion of my barn has concrete, but it is not accessible with my...

    Tractor is a blessing

I couldn't agree more. I wished I had mine years ago. I only have 6 hours on mine, but it has been a very productive 6 hours. This evening, I finished sloping a steep dirt bank in my field using my front end loader with Piranha tooth bar. I have had to hand cut the vegetation with weed eater and...

Question for those with a Piranha tooth bar.

I just installed my bar on the L2501. Installation was rather simple. Probably the hardest part was drilling the pilot holes. The new Harbor Freight step drill bit cut through the metal like butter. Directions say drill a 3/4" hole. I did not and drilled until the bolt went through the hole...

Question for those with a Piranha tooth bar.

Mine arrived yesterday. I believe that was 3 weeks 4 days for me. Not bad.

Cool. Good to hear. I think I ordered mine about 3 weeks ago.

BH77 backhoe on L2501 - with one operator in each seat

I just checked mine. I pushed the driver's seat as far forward as I could. Both seats still hit each other in the upright position.

BH77 backhoe on L2501 - with one operator in each seat

I'll have to check my seats. I was not 100% sure, but it seemed only one could be upright at a time. I know they are close. The cruise control on my tractor is just a lever near the fender that, as far as I can tell, allows the HST pedal to be depressed when the lever is pushed forward. So, you...

BH77 backhoe on L2501 - with one operator in each seat

I know this thread is a week old, but on my L2501, I'm pretty sure only one seat can be upright at one time. The other has to be folded to allow the other to be upright since they are positioned so close. I see some saying the tractor can be left in neutral and the backhoe can push the tractor...

Brush Hog slip clutch smoking black smoke

I bought a used rotary cutter for my old John Deere 2030 a couple of years ago. It had a slip clutch. No manual, of course. I loosened the tension nuts before I used it and engaged the PTO a time or two. I marked the discs with a piece of chalk and noticed it had moved. Although, I have torque...

    Kubota Service Department HELP!!

I never understood the grumpy old man thing, until I started becoming one. You sound like the me of the past, just a nice guy. And, people will certainly take advantage of your niceness. I think this is a perfect example. They probably have quite a bit of work to do and have placed you on the...

    Gunsmoke movie set

I remember watching Gunsmoke when I was just a little kid, and they were reruns then. I was born in '71. Matt Dillon was a big hero to me and I considered him a role model. They don't make'em like that anymore.

    Wont start

I'm with Lugbolt, I would bet it's the battery. It most always is. Do you have jumper cables to hook another vehicle to it and see if that will crank it? How old is the battery?

Question for those with a Piranha tooth bar.

Haha. I would like mine as well, but realize it will be multiple weeks before it is delivered most likely. Patience is my superpower though. I waited at least 15 years to buy this tractor, so waiting a few weeks for the bar is no big deal. (No offense LobsterClaw, just my little side story.)...

Fix L3650 or buy new L2501

I think going with new is not a bad idea either. Since I have a L2501, which was recently purchased, I would advise you to drive one at the dealership before purchase. I say that since you say you want to bush hog 5 acres. I have no idea how often you tend to do this task. The one thing I notice...

Question for those with a Piranha tooth bar.

That's exactly what I am planning on purchasing a little later as well. I am thinking they will have ironed out fitment issues by then. You probably saw the thread about it. I think it was only an issue with brand new BH77 backhoes and/or thumbs. So, if yours is not relatively new, it probably...

Question for those with a Piranha tooth bar.

Well shoot, that was quick. I seriously doubt I will receive mine that quickly, although it would be nice if I did. I have read they have a 10-week backlog. I have the factory thumb, I wonder if I should have ordered the BXpanded version. It is cheaper than what I paid. I think the factory...
