Question for those with a Piranha tooth bar.

I'm assuming you sent them the measurement for the inside width of your bucket? It just sorta sounds like you ordered a 66" bar. I chose 64.5" and included my tractor model, as it asks for it in one box at checkout. In another comment box, I told them exact inside width is 64 3/8" I'm thinking...

What made you happy you got the backhoe today?

I used mine for the first time this evening. 3 big rocks were dug up. These were ones that are sticking up just high enough to hit my lawnmower blades at times. I tried to dig them up by hand a long time ago, but realized they were too big. They turned out not to be boulders, but big enough they...

Clutch necessary for shifting on hydrostatic transmission?

Yeah, I have used my tractor just a little bit since my initial post. I changed ranges without the clutch multiple times, fully stopped, of course. Shifting was flawless. No problems.

Question for those with a Piranha tooth bar.

I'm gonna find out what mine can and can't do. I know it will have many limitations being a small tractor, plus 25hp rating. I bought it mostly to run a grapple and use the backhoe. I think it will be fine for that. I would have gladly paid extra for the L3901, but didn't want the Diesel...

Question for those with a Piranha tooth bar.

I have the quick attach loader. I have no idea about the bucket. I assume it is most likely the light material bucket. 66" bucket is the bucket dimensions on the Build Your Kubota page for the L2501. That's good to know. Thanks.

Question for those with a Piranha tooth bar.

So, somewhat similar to my situation. Mine measures 64 3/8". I thought about ordering the 64 1/2" since it appears that they undersize their bar width to ensure it fits. Good idea on the PVC. I may do that since I have some old stuff around the barn. Thanks.

Question for those with a Piranha tooth bar.

66" bucket? If so, what width did you order? Yeah, I read of how sharp it is. I have seen a post or two of leg wounds from it. It certainly looks mean. I was planning on making a simple wooden guard to go on it when not it use. But, thanks for reminding me.

Question for those with a Piranha tooth bar.

Sorry about the typo. I mistakenly typed 63.5" instead of 64.5. I corrected that. D2Cat, nah I clamped a flat file inside each end of the bucket and measured between the two with pulling action. From what I have seen, it probably won't matter much going with a bit shorter measurement as the...

Question for those with a Piranha tooth bar.

I'm thinking about purchasing a Piranha tooth bar. The inside of the bucket measures 64 3/8". The toothbar selection is in 1/4" increments. Do I order the 64.25" or 64.5" bar. From what I have seen online, video reviews and such, it always seems like the tooth bar mounting tabs seems to measure...

    L3200 adding BH77

Mine was $8250 before tax. The thumb I opted for was $515. I've only had the tractor a week, so no chance to use the backhoe. I suspect I will like it. I don't see how it can be worse than a shovel. :D

I called the dealer today. He said shifting with the clutch is not necessary.

Clutch necessary for shifting on hydrostatic transmission?

OK, I did look in the manual again to make sure I was reading correctly. As Missouribound said, it is in the section, Range Gear Shift Lever. Quoting the manual: "You can shift the range gear only when the tractor is completely stopped and the speed-control-pedal is in the neutral position."...

Clutch necessary for shifting on hydrostatic transmission?

I searched online just a bit ago and found two sites talking about Kubota transmission types. To me, it is worded in a way that sounds like it was taken from Kubota literature. Quote from one site: Kubota HST Transmission Kubota hydrostatic transmissions are available on tractors and...

Clutch necessary for shifting on hydrostatic transmission?

I have found a couple of threads talking about whether or not to use a clutch when changing between ranges on a hydrostatic transmission. It seems, some say it is not necessary. Others have said it is necessary and cite the manual for their specific tractor. I recently bought a L2501 and have...

About to purchase a L2501 HST

No, I understand completely. I do understand prices can vary across the nation. I told my dealer I would either buy or walk according to what price he quoted me. I had researched online and felt like I had a good idea on the price. I felt the price I was given for all the items I mentioned was...

BXpanded BH77 Backhoe Quick Attach Video Review

This is good to hear. I actually found your video before you posted here. I just signed up with the forum today. I was a little disappointed when I saw your video because I just bought a new tractor with the factory thumb and I was really wanting to go with the BXpanded system down the road. It...

About to purchase a L2501 HST

I just had my L2501 HST 4X4 delivered last week. Tractor price: $13,656 LA525 loader with quick attach bucket: $4,550 Third function was $725 Total: $18931 That's pre-tax price. I would say that's pretty close to your price. I also had cruise control added and have a backhoe on it as well...
