I clean mine after use and put a good schmear of grease over it. I converted mine to electric rotation so I'm not sure it would turn at all with any ice build up on it.

I've been practicing with the new camera -all from in the house shooting through the slider in the kitchen. It's winter and the birds have to eat too.
