    Question on holiday etiquette

Several years ago we and 3 other couples would get together for 'pig outs' on every warm holiday. We definitely solved the 'how to eat pie' issue. A couple of the wives made ribs you could die for. While warming them up on the grill the guys would stand around and with 1 fork and pass the pies...

Cold weather OPEN station snow plowing/blowing.

I never cleared snow below 10 deg F. It's just not that important to me. Driving in reverse with a 3pt blower is challenging enough for someone with a cervical fusion. I use insulated bib overalls, sweatshirt and heavy hooded coat with a balaclava (orange). Although mittens keep my hands warmer...

Give me a lever, and a fulcrum on which to place it..............

nice job! Many years ago when cast iron oil boilers weighed 800-1100lbs we used to get them into a house on hand trucks. Used plywood much the same as you did (2 layers of 3/4") to protect the floor. Whenever we needed rollers we used 2x12" steel nipples. We stupidly would lay the boiler down on...

    Battery powered fuel transfer pump?

As other previous posters, I used an Amazon 12 volt 'kit' and made my own refilling station of sorts. It was easier years ago when I burned #2. I just had our oilman fill it when he came. Now I use the forks to lift it into my son's pickup. The drum dolly it sits on makes it much easier to...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Just had 4 yards of 3/4 marble chips delivered. Got to drop a half dozen buckets around the property. The previous owner has it all around the house but some areas are down to the fabric beneath. Should get a good bit done tomorrow.

Photo shoot anything lately? Random Photo Thread

I did shoot it with a monopod years ago when I shot high school football. Never could get comfy with that setup even after many hours of trying. Ended up using a Wimberley, even for shooting air shows.

Photo shoot anything lately? Random Photo Thread

Good shots! No substitution for length when shooting birds. I picked up a used 400 f2.8 years ago. Even tho its a heavy bugger for me now I keep it for those times I want to shoot some flying buddies. I have to put a 2X or at least 1.4X on it and shoot on a tripod.

    Stupid me

on second thought . . . that should be an easy project if you have a brake switch and you have some kind of electrical switch(es) operated by the treadle pedal (forward and reverse) My treadle must have those switches. If I stand up from the operator's seat and press the treadle in either...
