Good luck on your search. We have yellow and black labs now. The pair before them were black and fox red. All rescues. The fox red has been gone over 10 years now. Still think he was the best damn dog I ever had.

Photo shoot anything lately? Random Photo Thread

fat little bugger! Before we came down to Florida for the winter I did exactly the same thing. I took a branch and 'planted' it in the ground so I could hang a feeder in front of a window in my study. Sure did attract a lot of birds in a hurry - but no hawks.

    Forks came in handy today...

You see all kinds of drivers. Many years ago I owned a small hvac distribution company. We purchased batteries directly from union carbide (Everready brand). Most of what we bought were 6 and 12 volt lanten batteries. Our biggest customer for them was a large industrial account who bought them...

    Inevitable?

One of my old college roommates and dear friend lives in the California fire area. They had to evacuate for 3 days but are now back home. Their neighborhood was spared, but not by much. Some of their friends not so lucky. They lost everything in their houses. To add to the misery when they went...

    What kind of bird?

We had them at the old house. For whatever reason, he did a number on the wooden telephone pole in front of the house. How many bugs do you think he found in there? Made massive holes.

I too give our pups an occasional bit of chocolate - usually as part of something else, like cake. Before I did I checked with Cornell University's vet school publication on it: Chocolate toxicity: What should I do if my dog eats chocolate? 24/7 emergency hotlines: Pet Poison Helpline...

I am also interested in this drug. I think its the one the vet mentioned the last time we had Farfel in. The vet diagnosed him with hip arthritis. I think he said the shot was every 3 months. We are going to bring him back in 3mo to see how he is doing - vet thought it might be an episode he...

I kind of lean toward your thinking RCW. My daughter's last dog had an edge to her when she was younger. Always tried to dominate one of ours. This one has some scars on him. Problem is you don't know the whole history except the last 'foster' was really brutal to the dog. I've met him and he...

    Snowblower and gravel roads

I suffered for 20 years at the old house with the same issue. Our driveway was about 500', uphill and curvy. Until the ground really froze, my kids used watch and call me the earth mover king. Threw a lot of gravel into the woods. I found that extending the shoes to their longest and pulling...

Hey, is that my dead blow hammer??? The last time I was looking for info on Eurocardan shafts I found everything I needed on an Italian implement manufacturer's site. Sorry I don't remember which one it was but iirc I was searching for flail mower info.

Long story, short. My daughter had a Pit Bull for 14 years. Last 2 it was being treated for cancer. This dog was my daughter's life. When she had to put it down it was really terrible. She loves dogs but was especially attached to Remy. . . . Two weeks go by and serendipitously she gets a call...
