    Possible oil leak?

Hydraulic oil line (inlet) hst leak THi, I have a kubota l2800. Bought a few years ago and has about 25 hrs on it. I was using it the other day to remove stumps and grade the dirt and noticed oil on the side where the hydrostatic pedal is. Looking at the parts manual, it seems to be coming...

attaching a woods backhoe to subframe

Thank you again wolfman. i was able to remove the pins. I think I'm going to clean the surface rust off before i put then back on. These pins are tough to remove since you can't push them out from the other side, and can't be pried (nowhere to pry it from). I had to use a punch to rotate...

attaching a woods backhoe to subframe

Hi Thank you for the information. I got the screws that hold the pin in. But i can't seem to be able to get the pin out. I can turn the bracket slightly with a punch but no way of pulling it out. How do you pull the pin out?

attaching a woods backhoe to subframe

Hi, I'm looking for help on how to attach woods bh70x backhoe to a Kubota L2800. My issue are the three point hitch arms are in the way. I can't disconnect them at the bottom, and there is no way to raise or lower the arms that will not be in the way of attaching the four points to the...

hooking up new backhoe to tractor

Thank you again for the good info. It is basically two metal plates one has a welded nut on the back side (on the backhoe itself) and the other (part of the subframe) has a hole for the bolt to fit through that screws into the welded nut. I have an 18" breaker bar. Using that with blue...

hooking up new backhoe to tractor

Hi. Thank you for the helpful info. Finally getting some time to work on this and we may get snow. Great. I moved the bucket lever around and let it sit for a couple of days. When i move it around now it makes a squishy sound. Is it OK to work on it? Also, I have called every rental...

hooking up new backhoe to tractor

Hi, thank you for the reply. I take it that using the Teflon tape that is used for pipes is not a good idea? I Also have joint seal #6 (black thick paste). It says threaded & flanged joint sealant & gasketing cement. Would either of those work? Or should i look for something different...

hooking up new backhoe to tractor

Hi. I am trying to hook up a Woods backhoe bh70-x to an L2800 with an L463 Kubota loader (big learning experience), and I have a couple of questions: The bolts that are used to hold the sub frame section permanently to the backhoe, indicate that they need to be torqued to 420 lbs-ft. I have a...

grease for a bolt that screws into a tapped hole

Thank you all for your replies. I am trying to install a sub frame, and need to remove the existing bolts and install new ones 20mm longer to account for the thickness of the metal in the sub frame. I have a heat anti size compound (silver and very messy), will do some research as to...

grease for a bolt that screws into a tapped hole

Hi, Sorry if this had been asked before, but I spent some time and could not find the info I needed. I have bolts that screw into tapped holes (that do not go all the way through and do not come out on the other side). Specifically the ones that hold the loader (La463) arm brackets or the...

Removing hardened 19mm bolt from cast iron L2800

Thank you very much for your help. I was able to get the two bolts off. It took about 1.5 hours for one and two heating/cooling cycles, and 3 hours for the other and about 5 cycles, but they finally came off. Taking rusted bolts off has always been a bit intimidating, but no longer so.

Removing hardened 19mm bolt from cast iron L2800

Hi, I have a Kubota L2800 and I am trying to remove a 19mm hardened bolt that threads into the cast iron (what I think is cast iron) axle/casing. It is a large diameter hardened bolt, it holds the bottom of the ROPS bracket to the casing. I started by trying out just a 1/2" wrench, from...

Transmission oil level hard to read

Hi, I have an L2800 HST that has been sitting for about 2 yrs without use (but will get a lot very soon). The tractor was not parked on level ground, it is on a 5-10 degree slope. I am trying to see the level of the transmission oil, but it's extremely hard to see. I even tried taking...

Using a gas can that previously had unleaded

Thank you all again for the help with this... feel kind of dumb asking, but better safe than sorry. I am planning on writing Diesel on the new can (red) with yellow paint, and the idea about a hanging tag would work with me as well, so I'll do that too. I'm not crazy about all the new spill...
