Difficulty raising OR lowering lift arrms , Model 5660

I adjusted the speed knob counter clockwise which allowed the lifting arms to go down. However, they won't come back up. The odd thing is that I can lift the arms up, but they won't stay up. Ideas?

Difficulty raising OR lowering lift arrms , Model 5660

I attached a brush hog and really could not lift it very high, even though the lever was pulled up, it did not really lift. I thought maybe the height of the lift arms needed adjusting, but after I removed the brush hog, the lever to raise or lower the lift arms is really, really tight( as it...

So sight glass is just white - L2501/HST

Thanks for the reply. Our 2501 is not HST but the old-style shift. It's hard to understand why they ever put a little glass window to determine fluid level.

So sight glass is just white - L2501/HST

I have a similar question about UST and UST2 fluid compatibility. My Kubota dealer told me that you can mix UDT and UDT2 together. I wondered if that was the case. Also, I think I may have overfilled my L2501 with hydraulic fluid after a cylinder leaking. Got that fixed, but fluid was low, and...

    Backhoe slowly declines when stored

To fit the tractor in the barn with other items in there, I have to swing the boom and bucket off to the side so I can close the barn door. I should probably just lower the backhoe bucket to the ground when parking it. I keep the support arms attached to it but have to remove the pin in the...

    Backhoe slowly declines when stored

Recently had my dealer replace a couple of hydraulic hoses on the backhoe that were leaking, which I believe were to the downrigger on one side only. When the tractor was not run for a week or 2, the downriggers and the backhoe bucket would go down a little bit but not significantly. However...

    L2350 Front Grill

Purchased a front grill that the previous owner had said was from an l2350 Kubota. It is in excellent condition, and I don't think it was ever installed. My question is does it fit other models, and does it have any value since it is from an older model tractor? Had thought of listing it here...

    Plows

The tractor manual says 2 x 14 is maximum which I thought was strange for tractor size. Before I use it again this fall I will shine the points and moldboards. Wasn't sure if lack of draft control. Thanks for the information.

    Plows

No front-end loader on the tractor although I wish I did. The ground had not been plowed for years. Don' remember if the top link was in the bottom hole or not. Had a couple of relatives with a lot of experience that had the same problem. Plows are used but in very good condition and I know from...

    Plows

Purchased a M5660 for general use. It does not have draft control(which I was told when purchasing). I had someone pick me up a set of plows at an auction which are 3 x 16. When using them the tractor seems yo have difficulty pulling through the soil with them and at times the tires will spin...

    Backhoe stabilizer legs noise

Dealer greased tractor and looks like fresh grease on zerks but will do it myself this weekend. Wonder if this would be covered by the current warranty if its something major?

    Backhoe stabilizer legs noise

Actually seems or sounds like something binding then letting loose. Tried it about 20 times after my post. Was everytime and then became intermittent. Wondering if it is something in the controller valves[?] that control the movement of the backhoe. Didnt do it before dealer took it for routine...
