If you don't have the WSM (Work Shop Manual, Aka Service manual) for the tractor, I would suggest you get it.

Sorry no free or cheap downloads are available.

The WSM will explain how to test the GST (glide shift transmission) system.

While waiting for the WSM, does the PTO shaft spin?
Does it make any noise when you push in on the clutch pedal?
Did it happen all of the sudden?

L39 Not moving

My L39 2006 model stopped moving forward or reversing while clearing bush with a lot of forward and reverse movement. It happened previously and worked 100% after I replaced the fuse situated at the clutch pedal.

The symptoms are exactly the same, but still no gears after I replaced all the fuses. The engine en hydraulics are working like a charm. Topped up the hydraulic fluid as it was below the low marker on the dip stick.

Jacked al four wheels of the ground and there is no movement or resistance when I spin the wheels by hand.

Is there fuses situated elsewhere?
Do I have to remove seat and foot plates to check linkages?

HST drive system? Do you have the drive by wire foot pedal system? Have you checked the pedal sensor and connections to it? You might have had a wire harness get yanked somewhere

I take it you don't like my answer that I already posted?

The L39 is a GST (Glide shift Transmision) not an HST (Hydostatic Transmission).
A GST is a hydraulic and/or electrically shifted manual transmission. ;)

Sorry my only experience with the GST was when I demo'd a tractor with one and it stopped driving going from fwd to reverse. The sales guy couldn't figure out how to get it going. After fiddling every shifter on the machine we only got it going again by putting it in neutral, rolling the machine by hand, then put it back in gear. The shift sensors seem real finicky and I avoided the GST ever since.

If you don't have any grinding or odd noises I'd suspect one of the many sensors somewhere on your machine from the seat to PTO and all shifters.

I used to have a NH with EHSS and the fwd/rev shifter was sometimes cranky. After reading the manual I found out clutching between fwd and rev was the wrong thing to do as the computer shift/clutch timing could get messed up. I stopped clutching for fwd/rev and had less problems with it.

I’ve got an L3940 and it started revving up and down when I would drive it and eventually it didn’t go forwards or backwards. Ended up having to replaced the HST valves. Not sure if a GST is similar...

GST's and HST's share none of the same properties or components.
GST'S are hydraulic shifted gear transmissions.
HST's are hydraulic pumps and hydraulic motor driven transmissions.

Why won't you get the WSM?
It will walk you through the trouble shooting sequence.
