My front end loader build

I have been working on my loader build for a while now. I appreciate all the information and ideas on this site, its a great resource.

Just about done with the loader now, i need to plumb the hydraulics yet. My plan is to use tubing and flare fittings to short sections of hose. I will post more pictures when I get going on that. Comments or critiques welcome.

It looks like you are just up the road from me a bit. I have a B7100 with factory bucket. Pretty similar design.

Yes I am going with a joystick valve. The bucket will probably never look this good again, but that's what its for right?

My tractor is a B6100 for those interested. The loader is build off of plans from Cadplans, model 907.

Very well done! I like the idea of flared tubing. That's a nice touch.

Actually fare tubing is a No No for hydraulic systems (why I'm not 100% sure considering brake systems are flared).
You'll have a hard time finding the right fittings for the connections.
If you can braze get the hard tubing and the spud ends for the lines for a 100% factory type setup.

Wolfman, you taught me something again. Went and looked at the lines on my tractor and indeed, they are brazed on ends. Just assumed they were flared.

Could these be tig welded on?

Oh yes tig is soooo much better, but some of us are tig denied, so a good torch and brazing some Hard silver solder does the trick (for A/C lines).

I am by no means an expert at hydraulics, but I am an auto tech by trade. I already have an expensive hydraulic flaring tool and the dies to do 37° flares. I easily found the tubing, nuts, and sleeves to make the connections. I also have access to a machine to crimp and make my own hoses. I guess I will have to give it a try and so if it works.

You are correct that the factory lines are welded fittings which might be more reliable.

Wow, that's impressive! At first glance, it looks factory, but it quickly becomes apparent it's beefier than a factory loader. Nicely done!
