found this nearly burried in a post designed to be a sticky where obviously its had little folk see it........ so reposting in here so not to keep this fellow accidently ignored.

.... I'm really happy to have found this website and I think we'll get him a lifetime OrangeTractorTalks.com membership, as well.

My question: Is the ZL1-20 the same as an L1-20?? What's a Monroematic? According to the photo I took of my father-in-law's tractor, the model is a "Sunshine ZL1-20 Kubota Munroematic." The only "ZL" reference I have found is from used tractor dealer in Europe. Any info on what model manual(s) might be relevant/helpful would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

These are links to the same tractor that my father-in-law has:

I've recently got a very similar tractor the Sunshine ZL1-22. I would also be interested in knowing what the "Z" and the "Monroematic" means. I am also looking for a front end loader for this tractor. If anyone also has info about this would be great. I did find a Japanese website that recently sold a tractor with a Sanyo TSW2202 front end loader. Anyone have this loader? here is that link. http://antei.co.jp/tractors/トラクタークボタ-l1-225-22馬力-フロントローダー付き

Yes the ZL1 and L1 are the same essentially.
Z = Zen-noh or Zennoh
Read these articles to learn more:

Monromatic is a system to electrically control the three point hydraulics.

It's only found on grey market tractors and not a ton of info out there on it.

Thanks Wolfman, Z makes sense now. I ended up calling a Kubota rep here in Japan yesterday and he came and checked out my tractor. He told me about the Monroematic and explained the switches on the right hand arm rest.
On this topic I found another thread that has a picture of these switches. Here is the link to that thread. http://www.orangetractortalks.com/forums/showthread.php?t=22172&highlight=sunshine
