Hi, folks
When i bought my MX5800 last summer, I had the dealer install front and rear. Work lights on the canopy. I have seen several people on this site that specified that they got LED lights.
I have no idea if I got LED's or not. I assume I can pull a bulb out and tell.
If they arn't, can I just get LED replacement bulbs to swap out?
Is there significant difference if I do?

Usually you can identify led lamps by the appearance of the bubl through the lens and the light it produces. Post up a picture. Or two

Here is a link to LED work lights...the type you are talking about are sealed. They do sell removable LED lights for stop, turn and parking sockets.

I have 2 of these on the ROPS, super bright. Its totally sealed and the 16 superbright LEDS do not come out.

The price has really dropped, I paid 90.00 for my first pair, bought a second pair to mount facing backward and will be installing a ON-OFF-ON switch to flip from front to rear on my BX22.

Thanks for the leads. I was hoping to do it on the cheap and easy if i could just swap out bulbs.

It's not that expensive to change to led lights if you look around. I bought a box of 10 18w pods from amazon for $80. They may not have some fancy name brand like cree but have worked fine. I'm sure some are better but I don't see the need. Only draw 3.2 amps so if one set isn't bright enough add another set.

Sorry to be old and stupid. What is a pod?! Did they fit in oem work light housing or mounted seperate?

I dont know what the work light circuit is wired/fused for. 96 watts would be a minimum of 8 amps plus the rear light is on the same circuit.

The setup I have comes from Northern Tool, it is a wiring harness relay fuse holder and switch that you connect directly to the battery terminals. I used battery charger connectors to clamp on the terminals.

So its not connected to the light circuit on the tractor itself.

I changed my incandescent head light bulbs to LEDs.... man what a difference.... I got them from www.superbrightleds.com . I am in the process of putting a LED work light on the rear for plowing snow.

I just put two LED work lights facing backward for my snowblower. I mounted them to the ROPS. They run off of the 20amp light circuit. I have 12V power going to a switch no relay needed I also replaced my incandescent headlight bulbs with LED.
