Anyone have experiance with these mowers? Do they do a nice job,and would it be a good match for my b6100 hst? I do have a 48" belly mower, but removing it is a little more involved than I want to go through on a regular basis
Thanks

Woods are excellent mowers, that size is perfect for that tractor too. And I agree - removing the mmm is a royal PITA:D:)

The rm 48 is a great match for the B6100. Its hard to beat a woods mower! If you dont have a front end loader, you might need to add some suitcase weights to help keep the front end down. The tractor will hold 3. The original weights were 55 pounds each. If you need them it will depend on how much you plan on driving with the mower in the air and the ground conditions of your yard. My b7100 is basically the same tractor and has pulled a rm 59 for over 20 yrs now without weights but the terrain around here is fairly flat and the mower spent most of the time on the ground so I haven't needed them.

Brought it home today,$350, with good belt on it plus a new spare belt.paint is original with all decals in place, light surface rust here and there,no cracks or welds.cut the lawn, impressed with how quiet it operates

I run an RM59 on my B7100, and have no issue with the weight. The only implement that gets my front end light is a KK tiller.
The Woods RM mowers do a beautiful job, they are built very heavy, and they are simple machines. I would buy another in a heartbeat.

Agreed
Neither weight or power is a issue, don't doubt the b6100 would handle the rm 59 as well

I do think it was a good deal, could snow any day here so that could be a factor also.i also think it's due for new blades as well, hope they are not to difficult to find, and hoping I can find a set of gator blades that will fit

They are still easily available, least they are for my RM59. (next size up)

I did a quick search after reading that post; while they are readily available for the RM59, it looks like they are more scarce for the 48. I think that they can be found, it just takes more work.

You did get a terrific deal Al. An RM48 has been attached to my B6100 for many years now, and has been working perfectly. Didn't have any problem finding blades ~5 yrs ago.
