The metal arm of the front windshield wiper got twisted by an errant limb and subsequently snapped the smaller guide arm that is attached to the mount.
Kubota wants $200 for what I suspect is the whole wiper apparatus that attaches to the windshield.
Anyway that is too much at this point.
Anybody got a suggestion or have one kicking around:D

Try part number T1065-71120 for the wiper arm. Under 60 bucks at Messicks.

Wiper arms and blades are pretty generic. Think I'd take the arm off and to your local discount auto store and get one that matches. Probably a lot cheaper.

It is called a Pantograph Windshield Wiper Arm, often found on busses and trucks. I suggest that you try NAPA or a local auto parts store. The people at the National chain stores, Advance, Autozone, etc., I doubt will have anything, since they are not that popular of an item. There are a lot of different sizes, and it will have to be matched up to your old one.
One final thought, any possibility of you being able to repair the old one just to get by until you can find another?

I thought it might be a little harder to find aftermarket.
For a quick and dirty short term fix, I wrapped the break with layers of adhesive foil tape but will give it a better look when the rain stops:D

You would think that for $200 that would be for the whole assembly (with motor), but you'd be wrong.

The $5 arm is indeed over $200 and doesn't even include the wiper blade! Another example of parts pricing being out of line.

Kubota: ARM, WIPER
Part Number 3C581-71122
Vendor Kubota
Messick's Price $205.72
Stock Quantity 1
Weight 1.00 lbs
Days to Order In stock
Replaces 3C581-71120

If you find an aftermarket replacement, please post the manufacture and PN. The part fits 52 models, so its likely someone else may need the info.

I took another look at the broken arm and decided to try a fix...2 part marine epoxy and fibreglas cloth.
It ain't pretty but I think it might hold.

Awesome! Hope the repair holds.

I think Kubota is starting to use NASA's pricing structure.

It is back on and and wipes like it should but,
I'll need to test it in freezing/heavy wet snow conditions.
I used the same West system epoxy that I repaired the smashed cab roof with.
It is gnarly stuff , more so with the f'glas cloth.
I am hopeful

Maybe add Rain-X or similar to reduce the frictional drag of the wiper.

For the price they're asking for the arm, you'd think it was made from titanium billet with some exotic coating. :D

I just came upon this old thread and want to let everyone know that I located the company that manufactures the Pantographic wiper arms. They are about 50% of what Kubota sells them for. The company is autotexwipers.com
