Why does tractor move after clutch depressed?

Forgive me but I have a question about a blue tractor. After buying my Kubota, I need to sell my Ford 3600. Recently when it is in gear moving and I depress the clutch, unless I lower the rpm's, the tractor keeps inching forward (or reverse). It stops when I let off the gas. What would cause this and is there something I can do?

sounds like the clutch is not releasing completely. with high rpm it drags enough to move the tractor when you lower the power its stops.

Do you have a mower attached to it, with no ORC?

Clutch out if adjustment or worn so it's not releasing all the way

Sounds like disc is stuck on spline,when clutch is released the disc is still dragging against flywheel.

Option two-clutch is smoked, slipped hard and warped disc. Aka-blown clutch.
Neet to find the inspection cover and look at it with pedal depressed all the way down.

If the clutch is just sticking on the flywheel, what can I do to remedy. Not sure what you mean about removing the inspection plate. I took off the clutch pedal rod to shorten but it is corroded to the point that it can't be turned. Guess I could bend it.

Sounds like the clutch has gone a long time without any adjustment. ("clutch pedal rod to shorten but it is corroded to the point that it can't be turned"). Normal wear will cause adjustment needs over time.

See what you need to do to get the clutch adjusted just a tad, and you may be fine. Maybe get a rod from a salvage yard, or fab one up, so you can adjust your clutch.

Usually there is some sort of removeable cover for inspecting/adjusting clutch. Be it under tractor or opposite the clutch rod side.

On the 3600 ford the cover is under the steering box, adjustment depends on if it has 2 stage clutch or not.
