Yesterday and today I’ve noticed a lot of spam…and not the good stuff that comes in a can and makes a great breakfast sandwich fried when camping.

I reported one and sent a note.

seems like the garbage just keeps coming.

WTF,O

Looks like a hostile party’s attempt to shut down the site. Deere? Mahindra? Kioti????

I was waiting for “50 ways to leave your lover” to pop up.
I slipped out the back, Jack.

I can’t even type this without laughing, but do we have any recently disgruntled former members that would have the initiative and aptitude to pull off such a burn?

I’m sorry, but spam in a can or otherwise is just not good. I was stationed in Hawaii for three years and I did not like spam before, during, or after regardless how it was served to me; I tried it too many times and found no preparation to be acceptable. Why eat spam when there’s bacon…I cure my own pork bellies and make great bacon.

Bacon is better. WAY better.

But Spam needs no refrigeration. Nothing like a Spam, egg and sourdough breakfast sandwich when camping way out there. Ya still need butter, and a lot of it, and eggs. But if you hard-boil the eggs, and good butter... doesn't need refrigeration.

Now about the spammers on here, many of us have backhoes that could be put to a good use.

I still have a case of spam that we bought at the start of the pandemic. Been afraid to try it but that sounds good. Was saving it to have as the last supper when everything else was gone and we were reallllly starving ☠. I'll try mine on a bagel with runny eggs.

As good as my home cured bacon is; it’s best when cut into thumb sized pieces and deep fried in duck fat for 12 to 18 seconds…though not good for your heart it’s great for everything else.

I am genuinely not a big consider of spam, but canned meat is better than none on a fly in / pack in camp / hunt, at least to me. I’d eat spam long before I start foraging for leaves or worms.

Sounds to me like you weren’t hungry enough😉…beyond that if you have bacon, at least try wrapping the spam slice in bacon before throwing in the towel.

I tried giving it to the local shelter. They said it was unsafe to feed to dogs 😲. That's what scared me. I'll try it on the blackstone.
That’s funny…most dogs (mine included) eat turd and would drink out of toilet if you let them…so I am not sure how picky they are.

One way I like it is to cube it small, lightly brown it in some butter, then toss it in my split pea soup. 👨‍🍳
