That’s funny…most dogs (mine included) eat turd and would drink out of toilet if you let them…so I am not sure how picky they are.
I think it may be the amount of salt in Spam. I know cat food is “bad” for dogs. I think that shelters just avoid anything that could be “not good to feed to a dog “.

I tried giving it to the local shelter. They said it was unsafe to feed to dogs 😲. That's what scared me. I'll try it on the blackstone.
I’ve always heard chocolate is bad for dogs, too. Hasn’t slowed my dark chocolate consumption…🙂

Dogs do not process pork very well.
Most dogs will get sick on it.

Chocolate (good quality chocolate) has a caffeine in it, dogs can't process caffeine, it shuts their liver and kidneys down.

Other things that are really bad are grapes, raisins, wine, garlic, onions, and almonds.

A favorite in PA Dutch country is green beans, potatoes and ham, we tried it with Spam instead of real meat and was rather good. Photo below is ham:

It seems OTT has become part of the remake of the movie "Hackers" with all of this spam attack :(

The moderators are definitely going above and beyond to handle all of this garbage, your work is very much appreciated!!!

I’m sorry, but spam in a can or otherwise is just not good. I was stationed in Hawaii for three years and I did not like spam before, during, or after regardless how it was served to me; I tried it too many times and found no preparation to be acceptable. Why eat spam when there’s bacon…I cure my own pork bellies and make great bacon.
Oh, you have never had the pleasure of consuming 1943 vintage C-Rations I guess. Spam is filet mignon, trust me.

I lived in Hawaii for 23 years, and spam musubi was awesome the way my wife used to make it. Rice, spam, and a fried egg all wrapped in Nori. It was the perfect snack to take hiking or to the beach. The trick is frying the spam in shoyu and getting it nicely caramelized.

I sure do miss Hawaii at times.

All these posts about spam this way and spam that way along with graphic pictures from you folks down south make me think just one thing. I never want to hear another snide remark about poutine! :ROFLMAO:

I don’t know but after all the weird raw / alive things I’ve ate in Japan, depending on who’s serving the fries, I guess I might as well try a pastie…who knows maybe it’s like a fruit roll up.? 🤔

Pastries are desserts,

What are examples of pastries?
Pastry fillings can be either sweet or savory or both. Examples include, pies, tortes, Danish pastry, croissants, shortcake, doughnuts, Cornish Pasties, crepes, blintzes, quiches, gallettes, empanadas, turnovers, pot pies, baklava, strudels, and I am sure there are lots and lots of others.

You're talking pasty.

What is the difference between a pasty and a pastie?
A pasty is a British baked pastry. Pasty or Pastie may also refer to: Pastie, a large, round patéd pie eaten in Northern Ireland.

Pasties, adhesive coverings applied to cover a person's nipples.

I am quite aware of what pastries are!

Pasties are often used to cover the nipples when models are wearing sheer or revealing outfits, ensuring that the focus remains on the clothing and to adhere to guidelines for modesty. Jun 16, 2016

What did you just read the first line, then decide you needed to chastise me?
If you would have read the complete post you would have seen that Pasty and Pastie are interchangeable.

You were the one interjecting yourself into friendly banter between 2 members which didn't involve you, chastising me with your cut and paste, suggesting I needed education on what pastry, pasty and pasties are.
