I’m A new Kubota guy…..but I’m curious….I have a quick hitch and don’t remove the stop pins on my land pride RCR 1260. Two days ago I went to hook it back up and my stop pins were missing! I talked to a neighbor and was told it might be a theft attempt….removing pins to allow faster hook up…I’m not sure…anybody know anything on this…I moved my tractor and deck to a lower pasture behind my shed which is by the road?

What are you calling the stop pins?

correct... depending where you be from stop pins / hitch pins / clip pins / snap pins / lynch pins are all kinda generic catch all names. Come in different variations and sizes but all do about the same things in different shapes, sizes and configurations.

maybe just kids screwing around as the pins were easy to steal, at 500 pounds the mower itself to big to steal??? anyways like you I too would take care and move it just in case.

I have lost about 2 dozen of those pins on various attachments.

They are not as “secure” as they seem.

I would imagine someone trying to steal your cutter would have to have some sort of machine to lift it, or look like these guys...

I've lost a couple of them brush mowing before I went to the heavy duty style.

Yeah, brush can snag them out ... I went to the "mushrooms" ... an adapter that bumps them up to the CAT 3 size so it fits the lower hooks on the QH ... Secured with a "roll pin" made out of spring steel ...

I’m guessing to support tool free R&R when adding or removing weights.

If they don't make your eyes water when you get a finger caught in it, you'll probably lose them.
