I just brought a couple of old attachments, and I really don't know what to do!!!! I brought a Ford 782 rearblade that is 6ft. I have a kubota b7100hst. I was thinking about cutting the blade down to 5ft so I could use it. After looking these blades up they seem to worth a lot of $$$ and if so I don't want to cut it. What should I do HELP!!!!

I currently have a 5', got a great price, 6' would of been better especially for clearing snow. I wouldn't cut it.

I borrowed my neighbour's 6' landscaping blade and used it behind my B7100 to level out my gravel driveway. That blade is probably twice as tall as yours. The tractor wasn't completely overwhelmed, although it would lose traction and start spinning the turf tires if I let it dig deeper than 2 or 3 inches. I think you could get away with that one for moving snow, but yeah, a 5' blade is probably a better match.

The answer is in the details. Put it on your tractor and use it! If you're not satisfied with how it works, then consider modifying it.

I can't imagine it being too big for a B7100. I had a 7' blade on a b6100 for a season (and the tractor was 2 wheel drive) before I did anything to it.

I would not worry about the blade, but that disk could be a much bigger worry for you

The disk that I got with the blade was all part of the deal!!!! Kinda like getting the plow before the horse. You see I don't have a farm or anything yet, but I have dreams of getting my own land to hunt on someday soon. So that disk would be to put in small food plots and things lime that mabe just breaking the ground to plant grass seed nothing major!!!!

What is the width of your disk? If it is a 5 footer you have a lot of weight hanging over the back of you tractor so you will have super super power steering as your front wheels may not be hitting the ground. I have a 5 foot ford disk that was made for the 8 N ford tractors and it makes the front get very light when I use it on my Ferguston which is the same as an 8N. Next is according to the specs you have 16 inch wheels on the rear s I am mot sure if you can pick it high enough to get ground clearance. Next comes the biggie when you drop that into the ground expect a lot of lose of traction.
The only thing you can do is try it but be very careful when turning and make sure it is out of the ground when you turn. The price for the disk around in this area would bring maybe on a good day 250.00. The back blade which I know your tractor can handle will bring maybe 50.00 because it had been cut or wore down. What I think it was used for was a farm had it and use it to scrape off the cement barn yard. That is to bad because with that cast mold board they would bring top dollar at a sale. I think they were one of the best back blades you could get . I use to have a Ford 1300 tractor similar to the one you have and I used a 6 foot blade on it with no problem, but that had 24 inch tires on the rear. You are the best judge of what they will do behind your tractor you have them so try them

Suitcase weights on the front bumper will help with that.

Fill the loader bucket with sand if he has a loader. I let my neighbor borrow mine and he has a 20 hp tractor and that is what he had to do and even then his 3 point arms only raised it high enough to just clear the ground. His tractor has 24 inch tires on the rear

I have an almost identical blade. I used it behind my 1994 B7100hst for several years. It will work great, but you will definitely need chains.

Thanks for all the information & advice. It's good to know that the blade will work without having to modify it. I hope to start the restoration soon, I will keep you all posted on the progress. Thanks again!!!
