My starter is bad so I ordered a new on. Where it is located it looked, at least from the top, to be an easy fix. I took the front off and now it doesn't look quite as easy. Would I just take out the dynamo to make room? That piece blocking it is bolted on in 6 places, two of which are behind the frame.
What is the best way to get starter out of BX1500?

Wise acre answer... Unbolt it. 
Two nuts and bolts hold the starter in, take those off and, once unbolted you should be able to pull the back side of the starter up and out.

I know how to unbolt it The issue is that it seems way longer than the space available to pull it out. I figured someone here may have taken one out and had a tip or trick or even just a "It'll come out in the space available." I guess I will see.

Only the first line was being a class clown,I know how to unbolt it
The rest was solid advice, sorry you didn't get that.
If it won't spin up then yes just pull the dynamo out of the way.
