Yes I did see that post thank you, I will look into beefing up the tongue, I also have an old riding mower and I was thinking of using the front wheels/tires off of that. A lot wider would add stability and easier on the land

So today, since I have no tailgate or the missing support for the tailgate
I was limited on what could be done, got all the sheetmetal primered with epoxy primer....

....

The bottom of the bed and the axle housings and bed support painted gloss black....

....

One of the bed sides exterior panel, the front exterior panel and the corner brackets painted gloss orange

Would have liked to have had all of the color done today so I could start on the bed liner tomorrow, but i am at my sheetmetal guy's mercy right now :(

Yesterday i got the first thin "primer" coat of bed liner on the three sides I could work on.
Today I did the final "heavy" coat of bed liner.....

Also scrounged up the front wheels and tires from my old dead Murray mower
to replace the "glorified wheelbarrow tires" that came on the trailer.
Both sets had one that was flat, so I figured I would go with the stouter and wider mower tires.

Then I got rid of the plastic bushings that were wore to .875 +" no longer .75", the axle size and replaced them with roller bearings.

Next Friday I will pick up the missing tailgate slide and tailgate, then start this process all over again! :D

I got the little trailer partially assembled, frustrating - waiting on the tailgate :(

Also checked the new tire / wheel fit, need a couple of spacers, but nice fit.

Looking good! You're going to get great flotation with those wide meats.
Keep up the narrative, I'm also enjoying your project.

Thanks, I think it came out okay. The deck is 8x17. It originally was longer but I took some length off the front (and a bit off the back to balance it) so the front left/right edges wouldnt hit the tractor when turning sharp.

Finally got my (missing) tailgate slide and tailgate (14 ga) real heavy duty.
Added a stiffener angle to the tailgate and got it and the last side primered and painted.

Also added some angle iron to the tongue to give it more strength and got it primered.

Picked up some new decals that I had to recreate since this company is no longer around.
(I took a little artistic licence and added a "Made for KUBOTA By") to the original decal.

Tomorrow pick up a new tire (one was flat) and do the last of the bed liner,
and the final assembly next week.
