The best part is really that the picture they take of the parcels thrown in the country side as "proof of delivery" is actually proof of non-delivery 😅
I took that photo, not UPS. The FedEx driver actually took a photo of the box that was delivered last night, but I was standing next to him at the time. 😂

Brush pile? I don't know, but most of those tree trunks in there I would have split and used as fire wood. I'd really like to know what size you use for fire wood ... :ROFLMAO:
I no longer have a wood stove...only burn pellets. So I give the firewood away. This stuff was mostly softwood (sassafras), vines and other junk that doesn't belong in a wood stove.

Bloody UPS left a bunch of stuff for me and my neighbor at the bottom of the common driveway early this morning. I was out clearing the driveway at 10pm last night since UPS tracking said that they'd be delivering, but then I got a message around 10.30pm to inform me that a new delivery date would be scheduled. I got up at 5.45am today to clear off more snow and saw an email notifying me that my two packages were "left at the security gate" at 5.30am. What a joke! We don't have a security gate. The driver dumped three boxes for my neighbor and two boxes for me down by the road below.

Luckily they were still there when I walked down at 6.00am. I had more than $500 worth of stuff in two boxes and fortunately no one drove past and grabbed them.

After moving my neighbors boxes to a safer location and carrying my stuff back to the house, I sent him text to to tell him that his desk, sofa bed and other boxes were tucked behind a tree on the other side of the driveway. I started up the MX, went in to make another cup of coffee, then after 10 minutes came out and set about taking care of more snow removal.
I have had the same thing happen, I ordered a 24 slot tape library and gotten an email saying it was left on the front porch. This picture was taken almost 2/10 of a mile from my house on our driveway.

Yeah, front porch for the squirrel who ordered the stuff!

I was thinking heck, what century is this? Then @WI_Hedgehog made the comment re cost so I had to Google "24 slot tape library" and am now up to speed. 😂

That's a spendy package to leave on the side of the road.
I had this same problem a few years back when I was building out my home recording studio (I'm a drummer) and the Fed Ex and USPS guys would just leave stuff at the top of my driveway or worse on the opposite side of the road by our mailbox which would sometimes slide down into the frozen drainage ditch. Our driveway is ~650' long so leaving pricey electronics randomly at the side of the road does not "feel" like an honest attempt to deliver. A lot of that stuff was used as well so really one of a kind not easily to replace at that price kinda stuff.......really pissed me off.

UPS guy was a hero by comparison and dropped stuff at the house......

Amazon came to my driveway, with a package for my neighbor, after 13 minutes they left the package in my box that he had opened, he is staring at my gate 5' to the left, and on it is my street name and number in 8" tall letters, the lid that's open is hiding another sign that says they are at my address, and that this is not the private road they are looking for, in 10" tall letters ... The package box they should have gone to is at the purple arrow!

Then 5 minutes later, he comes back, and takes the package back, and returned it to the terminal ... They re- dispatched another driver who "delivered it" to a different neighbor, fortunately it was his daughter!

UPS dropped off a package with $500 worth of parts and left it at the bottom of my drive way in the snow. After that I built a small building for all delivery's, it does not lock but my packages are out of site. With snow you need 4 wheel drive to get up my drive.

Took out the trash. Maybe a bit silly to use a loader for that, but the tractor was the handiest vehicle available and carrying a drum liner full of junk a quarter mile in the pitch black night was a non-starter.

No judgement zone. We all have the world's most expensive wheelbarrows and I bet we all do this, I know I use it for things I "could" carry but........tractor. Chewy box with a 50lb bag of dog food.....sure I "could" carry it from A to B but I had the tractor going anyways so.......

For years I had all UPS deliveries held for pick up at the local depot but the depot closed last year. I'm going to look at having future packages delivered to a local UPS affiliated store, during the winter months at least.
