@Kennyd4110, I don't have much data to support my claim that the restrictors have limited the ability of the chute rotation motor to break any ice bonds, it's just my intuition and this morning's experience. I hope you don't take it as criticism of your restrictors. It's not intended to be, and I should state that I could be wrong about the effect of the restrictors in terms of less flow or flux. There are lots of variables and I'm here to learn and expand my knowledge base as much as anyone. As more data or information becomes available I might have to modify my assumptions. 😂

Well the driveway markers failed. We actually got around 6” of snow overnight. I waited until lunch today and when they still weren’t working, I plowed the driveway. Snow was wet and heavy but it only took me around 30 min to get it clean and part of that was installing the rear blade. Yes I could have put it on a week ago when it was 48 but I didn’t need it last year and the prior year put it on only to take it off unused.

Only got about 4" here - about a hundred miles ENE from you. Driveway is only about 125 feet long, and parking area 25 X 75. Between Toro blower and the BX I cleared it all in about 45 minutes.

I was surprised. They were saying the bulk of it was gonna be around Athens. I was expecting only a trace to an inch.

I believe I am not too far south of you (I am just south of the ski slope)…I did not measure with a stick. (It did not see too wet this morning)

By the time I got home from work it was pretty wet and heavy and settled to 5-6”ish and my little Foreman (there was not an orange color option in ‘05🙄) did not want much more.

I don't take things like this a criticism @McMXi , life is to short for such foolishness!

The restrictors 'should' not be reducing pressure or force, only the speed or flow. What could be happening is that now that it's turning slower, it lacks the inertia to break the ice bond. That's just a WAG though, but I sure hope it does not become a bogger issue for you.

I had another customer drill them out to 1/16" for his grapple, he has a 75hp TYM and it was to slow for him. That might be worth a try for your chute.

We are east of 33 and about couple miles north of 347. 5 miles to Raymond and 5 to West Mansfield. Definitely got heavier as the day progressed. I guess I should have jumped on the Orange at 6 after my morning coffee. Looks nice though.
