You are a gifted mechanic yourself, can't they just give you the parts and you do it yourself? For the labour they did not do they can give you a voucher for spare parts then, and everbody is happy.
That would be sweet. I'd jump all over that! Wouldn't mind wrenchin on a tractor at this point.

I'm bored out of my freakin mind over here. Got nothing to do!

So bored that i learned an Adele song with my 12 year old yesterday for a little father daughter guitar piano duo LOL...... It was actually pretty fun.

The drought continues. It's been the driest summer on record.

We've been unusually dry down here as well this summer.

I aint complaining too much. If one of our standard gully washers came about, it'd wash half my driveway away like ALWAYS, and I got nothing to put her back together with LOL.

It's the dang gubment I tell ya, always playin with our weather! ***puts tinfoil hat back on***

Moved a bit of dirt and had my first regen with the L5460. 22.2 hours, most of it has been poking around the yard with the trailer and two hours mowing. I like the particulate % screen. Didn't notice any odor before it went into regen either. The LX3310 would get an odor 20-30 minutes before a regen.

Time to move the meat birds to the outside house. Warmed up the B3200, slapped on the forks and off we went. Much easier to care for when they are on grass.

Moved a few trailer loads of dirt to my BIL's driveway. They're still working on the road the new wharf is on and some ignorant people have been driving through the BIL's land. Didn’t see who was doing it but they won't be going through anymore.

Reminder for all NO Politics
I just have a couple questions sir......

Is God considered a politic to you?

Or are you just simply enforcing forum rules here being an admin?

I myself am not involved in any sort of politics. I DO NOT watch the news, I DO NOT care who runs for whatever office ANYWHERE. Only spreading the good news of which our Lord has provided for us.

I only know Kirk to be a fellow Christian brother, a husband, a father, a son. THAT is all I was saying. And we had a good brother on here, that was having a hard time dealing with it. That's where I step in to offer encouragement and help......not to indulge in politics.

It absolutely hurts to see ANY post get removed for praising God and our Lord Jesus Christ. These are important things here people! The MOST important.

Just a little confused here, that's all, not trying to argue.

Used my rake to rake up smaller brush after getting the large stuff piled up. Glad I bought this style rake.

I pulled out some firewood yesterday.

P1000682-1.JPG

One of my neighbors came by. He told me that a tree fell into his pond a couple years ago and he wanted to hire me to pull it out with my tractor. He said it would be a good time because his pond is down 27" because of the sever drought we are in. I told him that I wasn't for hire but I would be glad to do it - That's how I have fun.

It turned out to be super easy. He took a couple pictures.

Heading down the bank with winch cable and saw.

P1000688.JPG

He wanted to leave some of the butt in the water and told me where to cut it.

P1000695.JPG

Got it pulled up the bank.

P1000699.JPG

Then pulled forward and winched it up onto the trail and dragged it away.

He was a happy customer :):)

Looks like I've sold the LMTV M1078 to a guy from Hayden, ID. He drove up this morning to check it out, so before he got here I pulled the two spare wheels out of "storage" and got them ready to load in the bed of the truck. They sure are heavy buggers!

The front right tire on the truck was the only really bad one with a number of checks (cracks) from age and weather, and wouldn't you know it, it decided to let go on the test drive. I was planning on being out on the lake in my boat this afternoon, but that all went to hell in a hand basket.

We were able to limp the truck home and get the wheel and what was left of the tire off the front axle. I tried to lift the front right of the M1078 with the MX and then the M but at 17,000lb all in with most of the weight up front there was no way either tractor would lift the front right corner.

Luckily the guy from ID had bought a 20 ton bottle jack with him and we were able to get the truck raised and the spare on. After a second test drive the "new owner" asked me how much I'd charge to deliver the truck to him since I'd mentioned that option last week. I had already thought about how much I'd want to haul 18,000lb about 200 miles and then another 200 miles running empty and figured $500 was fair. He was ok with the cost and gave me $500 cash and will pay for the truck next weekend when I deliver it. An interesting truck and two tractor day. The MX loaded up the two wheels shown below and then the shredded tire and wheel that we pulled off. It was then used to get the spare tire/wheel on the truck and it made short and easy work of that task. I sure do like my tractors!

I'll be using the F-450 and Kaufman 30ft gooseneck trailer and it should be a fun trip.

I got the back 7.5 acres cut again, even though we have had less than .75" of rain in the last 2.5+ months, the Broomsedge and ragweed were growing, I wanted to get them cut before they matured any more ...

Sounds like a great trip.

How many wheel weights do you have on the tractor? Looking at adding some to the L5460. Max three per side and I think they're 180lbs each.

I have three weights per side on both tractors as well as beet juice in the rear tires. The MX weights are 110lb each if memory serves, for a total of 660lb.

How are you liking your L5460? It's a nice jump up from your previous tractor.

I'm really enjoying the step up. I liked the LX3310 but the L5460 is an entirely different beast. I moved a couple tandem loads of dirt and it has plenty of power pushing into a pile and I have to say my snow tires bite well in the dirt and are easy on the yard. That being said. They grab a lot of gravel and throw rocks at road speed. I ordered a set of mud guards to protect the glass. The only thing I would change would be th tires. I wish R14's were available for the Grand L in Canada.
