Found a tear in the plastic grill from a stick....so.....today I got out the electric glue gun and grinder and added some expanded metal to the grill guard.

I've seen this before and really like it. Hope to find some time this winter. Good work

I used my bx1880 to drag a massive felled pine from a ditch, then carry the sawed up sections to a little storage area. Was surprised it had the umpf to drag such a massive tree section with limbs intact through thick compost.

The tree was at lest 24-30"" and a challenge for my little 18" chainsaw so I used the tractor to rotate the log as I cut through once I had it in two pieces.

The tractor hit 20 hours during this process. Fantastic! Cannot believe how much work I've achieved in those first 20 hours.

crappy pic of the process:

Flat tire on the front today...found a nail in it. Went overboard and both plugged it as well as added half a jug of slime to both front tires at the same time. Ran on it all afternoon and held pressure so should be fine.

Flushed the front diff with nice new synthetic 75W-90 and ran the machine doing light work for several hours. Parked back into the garage only to find a nice puddle of nice new synthetic 75W-90 a few hours later coming from the front driveline housing.
I just finished rebuilding the front final drives and they run beautifully. I guess the front differential will be re-bearinged and re-sealed.
The joys of owning an old tractor.

I got my B2601 on Thursday of last week.

Today I moved about 2 yards of dirt, combined a brush pile that was ~20' x 10' into a much smaller brush pile in preparation to burn it, cleared an area around my compost pile and filled one large hole in the yard near the pond.

Moved a few items around the yard getting ready for fall/winter. Then I gave it a bath as I was washing the cars anyway.

Yesterday, i took her golfing. It was only a 10 mile blast down the main road :D
Golf course tractor had a burst pipe (still not fixed) and jobs were piling up. On a side note, had to run her in 4wd all day because industrial tyres have shite grip on grass at speed. Had to fill her twice

Kill Switch & Light Bar
Wired up a 6 place BUS with weather proof container enclosure under the hood for this lighting addition and future rear facing lighting(backhoe work).
Kill Switch is obvious for a reason: See it and give up, move along.
Both work great.

Over the weekend, I dug a number of holes for fence posts with the backhoe, spread about 12 yards of wood chips around in the horse paddock, then strung the wire and used the backhoe to tension it while I stapled it to the posts.

Attached these two tow/tie down hooks and welded a plate between them for increased strength. I think these will work great for strapping the tractor on the trailer.
I picked the hooks up at a garage sale this Summer for $5.....they are from a Nissan...Titan I think.

I unloaded, unboxed and assembled the casters on a new tool box. Found this one that is pretty close to Kubota colour. My old late 70's Snap -On box was very tired.

Florence made it to upstate New York last night.

Worst driveway damage I’ve had in several years.

Not perfect, but a whole lot better. Thankfully most of my stone stayed at the end of the driveway.

Did it with box blade, and that’s my little stand I park it on when not in use.

I spent quite a while letting the air out of Hope's tyres so that I could get her into the shed out of the storm. Funny thing is she fitted in last year
Must be letting herself go now that she has settled :D

Cut down about 8 small trees behind the shed. Getting ready to level off a spot for all the implements and trailer. I really need a backhoe. Kicking myself for not getting one when I bought this.
Also let my 9yr old son drive the tractor for a while. Loaded up logs in the front bucket and let him drive over and dump on the brush pile. He had a blast. Feels good to see him enjoy things like that.

And I cannot get the image to rotate the correct way for some strange reason
