Bought a nused ballast box off of Craigslist for 80.00. Looks like the guy only used it to haul leaves in it. Almost new sitting in a shed covered up. Should work good with 300lbs of sand for snow removal with fel.

That's a great find for $80. bucks DWK....Today on my Kubota I hauled firewood to replenish what I've burned off the porch. Then used my pallet forks to move my bush hog to store for winter. Went to the neighbors and moved some rocks with the FEL then plucked a Directv pole out of the ground there for plowing this winter. Oh and installed my new light bar and rear LED light.

WFM post some pics of your lights, I would like to see what you did. I am in the process of installing ditch lights myself. Just trying to find the right switch for dash.

Got my two LED work lights wired up on top of the cab.

And got my electric chute up and running on the snowblower. Window motor, bracket, adapter, switch and wire. Less than $50 total and the window motor has a lifetime warranty.

Used the box blade to fix the ruts on the utility road. Filled the tires with RV antifreeze and water yesterday. I really needed to do something to check out the difference!

Gotta make you wonder sometimes how we were able to do SOOO many tasks before we had our little orange helper.

Got to my nearest Kubota dealer and puchased an oil filter and 6 litres of engine oil. The cold weather has set here in New Brunswick , Canada, and good clean oil is how I keep my1986 L2250 tractor running in the winter. She's got 2170 hrs, and has never been in a tractor shop. I installed a in- line heater when it was new, in the winter, it goes down to minus 10 or 20 degrees celsius, I'll plug it for 15 min. and starts like summer. Had a few issues with the charging system, but that's fixed.

Mowed the yard after supper and an appointment. Wrapped it up shortly after 9:30. We had been on the way home and I told Wifey it might be a nice time to mow. Temps were in the low 40's so there was no frost. When we put the cab on last week I added a couple LED lights. It was finished too soon. The black area on the right is the creek.

Although I really hate the Winter season, I try to come up with ways to make it a little easier. I rebuilt (complete tear down and restart from scratch) my deck this Fall and incorporated a means to make getting wood up onto the deck a lot easier, plus another excuse to use my little orange helper. So, today was wood restocking day and playing on the tractor.

I changed the motor oil and filter at 193 hours. I used Shell Rotella T-6 5w40 synthetic and a Kubota factory oil filter, same as I did at 50 hours. With a decent day weatherwise, I figured I'd better do it now rather than wait the 7 more tractor hours and need to do it in 20 degree temperatures. It went well.

Took my L3800 in for the 50 hour maintenance. Picked up a spare tire
and wheel for my Load Trail trailer and a Kubota steering wheel knob for
my tractor. Whole pkg was $446. Not bad considering what some have
paid.

Dug a trench between the cabin & the garage to bring power to the garage. The pics don't do the situation justice, there were a lot more rocks than are evident in the pics.
