Dug out and put in a gravel base for our firepit area. We have a metal ring/pot for now but I'll eventually get some stone or brick to make a proper setup.

I got tired of looking at the fuse block dangling from the wire harness and sometimes making it difficult to put the battery cover back on, so I ordered a couple of four circuit fuse blocks and made it a little more professional looking. I drilled a couple of holes in the bulkhead for each block and used screws that were just long enough to secure them, but no long enough to interfere with the removable radiator screen.
The top block is for circuits that are always powered, like the shutoff solenoid and head lights.
he bottom is for all the circuits switched by the ignition switch.
I had to modify the top cover a bit for it to fit since the blocks are mounted so closely together.
The dangling fuse block was just one of those things that triggered my OCD.

Dave -if you meant 046, you had a good saw to take care of it. Only 2 bigger in Stihl. Heck, the current equivalent of your saw is $1,200 new now. Can’t imagine what the 6xx or 8xx cost....

Now, if you meant 028, that little cuss did some yeoman's work!

Looks like a softwood(?); all the better...

That’s just an amazing job! Good for you!

Both are 76cc saws, the 048 is just older. The 028 and 048 are about the same vintage. I love my old 028AV.

Had some old HF (Pittsburg) car dollies sitting around so am making a dolly for bucket. Being a carpenter I have plenty of wood so hope the 2x4’s can handle it. Dollies are taking the weight anyway.

Removed those bolt acorns as they always pop off anyways.

Made sure casters were tight.

Decided which direction to run dollies so finished product isn’t to wide. Used some shelf bracing to keep pair together. Have to keep bolted pair of dollies about an inch apart so each caster can swivel

Tomorrow I’ll bolt 2x4’s to dollies and try it out.

That sure is an interesting place for an oil filter...on a plane or a tractor...😎
It's mounted on the rear of the engine on the side of the accessory case.
I had removed the battery box which had originally protruded back into the cockpit behind the firewall. The oil filter was just ahead of the battery access panel. That side of the firewall was replaced and a new battery box was hung in front of the firewall so it didn't interfere with the avionics stack I installed.
A pilot friend of mine came over to look at it while it was all torn apart. He said that if I died before I got it back together, the plane would have to be scrapped. Actually, I labeled every wire and line, so there was no problem putting it back together. The only wiring issue I had in the whole project was a mis-wired microphone jack that I bought as a pre-wired assembly. Everything else has worked perfectly since 2003.

That stuck Kubota is a new 106 HP.

His story:

"Then I remembered that the manager of the Pecan farm a few miles away had a 135 HP JD tractor. He said that he would be over shortly, and to make a long story short, we built a log raft under the front end loader/pallet forks on my stuck tractor and pushed down with all she had and lifted the front tires up just enough to build a short log platform under them, and after several attempts with him pulling me with a chain with links about the size of your fist, we got it out. Whew. Dumb."

When 12-14 years old, I buried my Dad's (now mine) 'Moline by going off the "beaten path" on our way to firewood cutting.

No loader, 2 WD tractor with narrow front-end.....so 7,000 pounds of anchor in sloppy stuff like that.

I remember it was early in the day.

Dad was, well, how can we say, not pleased  🤬🥵....

Don't recall anything for the rest of the day.....🤪
