Worked out at the farm some more. Spent a couple hours mowing. Neighbor stopped by and wanted to know if he could come play with his toy, which we said sure. So, we got a bunch of brush cleared and trees and stumps removed. He removed them and I hauled them to the brush pile.

I already fixed this, and I'll yank those bolts out next time I'm outside, in maybe a week because we are getting 6 days or rain most likely. Does anyone actually use neutralizer after spraying 2-4-D? I filled it with 20 gallons of water, ran the handheld until it was running clear, then did the same for the boom, then let the rest run out in the ditch.
I run tank cleaner through mine when I’m done with it

Took the shortcut home after helping a friend. Didn't have to climb the hill, traffic was brutal. I stopped to wave at you guys; don't think ye saw me ;)

Then, yesterday, I had a chance to answer one of my own questions. Digger drivers tractor was giving trouble so I had to hook his trailer to the Kubota. Now I definitely know whats too big :) Was fine with the bushes, but a few rocks in the trailer later led to a bit of plane spotting  FWD isn't much good when two of them are 24" off the ground ;)

But Hope managed it even though I had to reverse all the way with 1 load. They were short runs of 100 yds or so on solid ground. Otherwise I wouldn't have done it

Yesterday I installed a new valve for my rear remotes to run my splitter and my wood chipper.

Today I tried it out (and it works great!).

Ok - back on topic. I cranked the deck on the finish mower as high as it goes then adjusted the check chains and tested it out in the back field. I cut in all around then mowed 1/3rd of it. I think it's high enough not to burn, but low enough to work around in.

We haven't had rain in weeks and anyone who cut too low is brown now. First cutting hay = late second cutting unless we get rain.

WOW breathtaking! thank you for sharing these photos.
I have spent a handful of layovers in downtown Dublin, absolutely love the city and the people. I know the real beauty is out on the countryside, your pictures prove it, I cant wait to explore more.

Went and picked up a little friend for my Orange. Brother in law is moving to a condo and asked if I needed another tractor. Who doesn’t. 8000 hrs, full service every year, garaged it’s whole life, mmm and runs like new. Now both the wife and I can be looking good mowing. Now back to this image rotation crap. Arrrgh

I spent part of yesterday and today bushhogging. This was the first time that I have bushhogged with this "new to me tractor" and it did quite well.
IMG_7823.JPG

That is a Bushhog 3008 which has two spindles and whacks 8' and the M4900 handled it very well.
Those Sweetgum and Persimmon saplings seen over the top of the tractor are 6' - 8' tall.

Another view.

And the completed job and it made me happy. My "fabricated" 4 post canopy also served very well with the front posts protecting the FEL controls and also protecting me from getting slapped with limbs.

Aw, anything is worth putting on the hoe. I just used mine to grab up some prolific ground ivy that is spreading along a drainage ditch near the edge of my property. It was fun and gave me a chance to fine-tune my operating skills. Playing with the hoe is one of the most fun things I can do with my Kubota. :)

Wonder what is the deal with the rear tire rims and rear fenders fading so much more than the fronts? My front end gets the same (sun) exposure as the rear, but the rear is faded and the front not so much.

Good question. My fenders are pink but the cab roof is still orange an d so is the hood and side panels. M y wheels turned pink but I repainted them last year so they are all good.
