I have a weight box filled with lead ingots that were made from wheel weights by someone else. If I need extra weight in it, I have some Kubota suitcase weights that I can put into it, if needed. I used to use bar bell weights, but when I found these Kubota weights, I gave those to a friend.
I remember reading here, I believe, that someone used a plastic bucket with a lid, cut a hole on the center of the lid and on the bottom of the bucket for the ends of an inexpensive drawbar of the same length as the bucket and filled it with concrete. The advantage of that was that the bucket could be rolled by hand for installation/storage and while on the tractor, it would roll and not get hung up if it bottomed out.
WOW! I ordered a Kubota Ballast box from my dealer back in March. Kubota bought Land Pride I guess cause thats what came. I had huge sticker shock. $600 and $200 shipping charge. I asked was it diesel or gas powered LOL. I dont think Im going to pay that much for it.
