I have a one year old B3200 W/loader, belly mower, filled tires

financed through Kubota.

I wanted a bigger tractor, but that was what I could afford. Then I go to work to find out that they got a L3940 for same price, however it was with government discount. But it has gave me a chance to use both.

I need the L3940 !!!

So to get to my question, has anyone ever traded up their Kubota while still financed?

How was Kubota to deal with while doing it.

Any suggestions info I am open to them,

and if anyone wants to know why I prefer the L3940 ask away.

I had a 02 M9000 and traded for a 04 M9000 cab tractor. My dealer gave me within a $1000 of what I paid for the first 9000 toward the new one. A good dealer makes all the difference.

Since you offered what do you like about the 3940 over the 3200?

Thank you both.

Besides the size differance, I have learned more about Kubotas since posting.

The 3940 is a L Grand, so it is loaded with options.

The options that I like the most; the auto throttle response linked to the HSD so when you push the go peddle it goes, and if you need to stop it automatically goes to idle.

The pedal on the 3940 is a rocker style, so if you are doing a lot of back and forth it is very handy. It also has a kick out for straight up forward driving.
3200 has two pedals a toe and heel pedal and you have to move your foot to change direction.

3940 has a tilt wheel. 3200 ergonomics suck.

3940 has multi-adjustable spring seat. 3200 again is wher it is and has a lawnmower style seat.

Barlows in somerset ky has said they could get within 1k of what I owe.

3940 is what we really want, it is pushing budget, but we are really afraid that if we go with the slightly smaller 3540 (37hp vs 40.5) we will always wish we had the bigger.

After going thru about the same thing my advise is get the one that makes you happy. When you settle for a different model no matter how good of a job it does you'll never be satisfied. Get the one you need and want. You won't regret it.

Update, We traded our 2010 B3200 w/loader w/60" belly mower for 2012 L3940 w/loader w/72" belly mower with Barlow's in Somerset, Ky

They paid off the 3200, and I got the L3940 for 30k.

I am pretty happy with the deal.

Reddog, another thing you will like about the L3940 is the three point hitch system. It comes with the telescoping lower arms which are nice. It also has a different hydraulic system from the standard L series tractors. It does not have the jerky uplift that is quite severe on some of the standard L's. I didn't notice where your home is, but if you get a block heater, make sure it is installed on the right hand side.

Good luck with it; you will love it.

Wow that L is a nice tractor, looks big. When I first glanced at the picture I thought the B3200 was a BX next to your new one.
I almost bought a B3200 but thought it was too big for our needs, that L series must be huge, I bet you'll be real happy with all the nice features.
