TG 1860 - Is it likely I can sell it as-is?

I have a TG1860 that belonged to my mom. It currently has a dead battery, and still won't start when hooked up to my car--it just makes a drilling noise. After posting another thread asking for advice on getting it going, it sounds like I would need to buy a new battery as a starting point. Unfortunately, I can't really afford to put any money into getting it running. My mom's house is about to sell and I really just need to get the tractor out of here.

Is it likely that anyone would buy it as-is? And if so, how on earth do I figure out what a fair asking price would be given that I don't really know what's wrong with it? Any thoughts from folks with experience buying/selling tractors would be welcome.

Real important:
Is it an TG1860G ; which has a gasoline engine
or a TG1860 ; Which has a diesel engine

Does it include the mower deck?
Does it include anything else?

A TG1860G running, can fetch between $1200 to $3000 depending on condition.
A TG1860 would run $3500+ running or not.

A good asking price for a TG1860G non running is really going to be dependent on what people in your area are willing to pay.

Look on craigslist in your area for other mowers, and then stay on the high side, as Kubota's always fetch top dollar.

Thank you so much! This is the TG1860, not the TG1860G. It has the mower deck but nothing else.

If that machine hasn't been setting in the weather for years it would not be difficult to get it going. When was the last time it was used to mow? A battery at Walmart will cost about $100. If you know anyone who has a diesel car or pickup they probably know enough to get it going.

Selling it not running, no battery and no attempt to make it run makes the value just what anyone will offer you.

Have you ever invested $100 and a month later had a $1000? That's easily what you can do if you get it running!

It has been sitting about 3 years, but unfortunately I can't afford to put anything into getting it running right now. I do understand that it would be worth more if I can get it going, but as I said above it's not do-able right now. I appreciate the input though.

When I look at non-runners, they're worth salvage dollars, gas or diesel. If the engine spins with the electric starter, I'll offer more $$. Fires up, $$ up.

If you were anywhere near me I would give you a low ball offer, take it home and have it running in an hour. This same thing came up on another forum that I frequent and I said the same thing. The buyer offered 20% of the asking price, they accepted and the buyer had it running in an hour at no cost.

Thank you! That helps a lot. I wasn't sure if it would be saleable!
There does not seem to be even one Kubota TG1860(diesel) listed for sale on the internet.
There are 8 gas versions. They are all listed as being in running condition.
Pricing for those gas (Kawasaki) versions varies from approximately $2,500 to $3,500.
Does your engine appear to have spark plugs (gas), or injectors (diesel)?

You are not in much of a bargaining position, with the tractor not being in running condition.
Maybe.....$500 - $700, if you are lucky?
