I have a B7800 HST with a stuck clutch. Can anybody tell me the best way to release the clutch plate when it’s stuck?
Okay, ill give that a try… saw that the clutch linkage seems to work okay.First, Hold down (tie down) the clutch pedal and work the tractor hard, including a PTO load,
If that doesn't work then your typically looking at a split.
Have you checked the clutch pedal linkage and make sure it's in adjustment?
How is he supposed to put it in "4th Gear"????Another method which (I have heard) might work: Place it in 4th gear… Rev the engine at high-speed…push the clutch pedal IN….and Apply the brake HARD! It may “pop” free.
The cause of this problem most likely is the clutch is rusted to the pressure-plate. (Presuming the clutch linkage is properly adjusted.)
Good luck…. Don’t forget to Come Back and Tell us if it Worked…!
I was not familiar with that…Thanks…. (When I read “clutch”… I thought it was a geared tractor.).How is he supposed to put it in "4th Gear"????
It's an HST!![]()
Just wondering how long one might run the tractor with the clutch pedal tied down, without risking damage to the throw out bearing, since it normally experiences limited use, and is probably not designed for continuous use.First, Hold down (tie down) the clutch pedal and work the tractor hard, including a PTO load,

Well….. If it DOES damage the throw-out bearing…. That’ll give good opportunity to fix the original problem!Just wondering how long one might run the tractor with the clutch pedal tied down, without risking damage to the throw out bearing, since it normally experiences limited use, and is probably not designed for continuous use.
