So today I was emailed a statement from KarenMartini at Messicks, have never received a statement from them before, and no balance due. Has anybody else received this? Spam? I have not ordered anything in months. What say ye? Thanks

Call Messick's and ask specific questions. You have a name to inquire about. Either they know what the letter is or they don't. If they know nothing about it they need to be aware someone is messing with their accounts and it needs to be addressed.

Look at the sending email, bet it's not messick's email.

Email scammers are getting high tech and they are scamming everyone.

Anytime you get a suspect email hover your mouse pointer over the sender. That should display the sender's email address. If it doesn't end in messicks dot com mark it as spam or block it.

And by all means, don’t open any attachments (.pdf, .doc, .xls, etc) that could have some bad juju embedded within the attachment.

THIS!!!!

If you opened the attachment, run your computer over with your tractor.

Or, use a very good virus scanner.

This is why I always have a loaded gun on hand. Computer threats.

If I click on something and wish I didn't....

I run out outside, throw the laptop on the ground and put a mag into it.

Thankfully no issue.

You were wise to be suspect. (y)

I had to go through computer training at work once or twice a year. Main cause of computer "hacking" was by emails.

I don't trust anything received via email. I don't "click" anything in an email unless I'm certain of its origin.

Yeah, the senders address was @messicks.com., so I was pretty sure it was legit, but never hurts to be wary. Trust but verify.

I click on everything, which is why I have a $42 million inheritance coming my way, 23 hot women from Ukrain flying in to spend it on, and a few things to give me a huge and erect--well, probably third arm from the sound of it--to keep the ladies happy. I'm taking a foreign language course and should be done in six weeks starting next week; first on my list is, "Make me a sammich!." (I don't want to have to learn "kitchen" and "cook" right away, that should be self-explanatory, they did all go to university.)

Thankfully a loan offer for $63,000 came in to tide me over (I'm pre-approved, no collateral), and there are about 70 offers in my voicemail to buy the dinky shack I live in for top dollar--which is great because I want to unload it before buying a 7-bedroom mountain home on a lake (which I'm also pre-approved for and the paperwork is almost complete). I've already got the new truck loan paperwork mostly done, gonna need something to pull the new boat! (75% off Fall clearance sale, this Labor Day Weekend only)

You guys don't know what you're missing.

N.Y,
And the laptops are cheaper when you buy them by the dozen .... (y)
I just pull the hard drive to shoot 🎯. No need to replace the whole thing and the smaller target is a little more sporting 😉.

Some laptops are cheaper than a box of some ammo! Even if you reload.

My days of expensive Alienware gamer laptops are over. Lol. But I have a really cool one I bought in 2014, and it's still going strong. It handles all my fast needs. .... and emails and OTT isn't two of them. Lol
