When I lift the snowthrower on my GR2020 the driveshaft slips off the spline on the hitch.
Any body have any ideas why?

It's not locked onto the PTO shaft . You push it on until you until it stops & then you pull back on the sleeve on the coupler & push till you her a click

I do that but it seems that the front is barely on the hitch end and it moves when you raise the thrower.
Or am I putting it on backwards? the latch end goes to the rear end correct?

You might want to shoot some silly cone in it or even some WD40 to loosen up the balls. Sometimes they do not release all the way and dont click into the cut onthe shaft and slip out. Either that or your shaft has been cut too short,, something to look at

It also might be the incorrect driveshaft length for your tractor. Take it to the dealer and have them measure it and compare the results with the parts books.

It should lock in the tractor side. Implement side is usually bolted to the driveline.

PTO shaft *might* be too short, if it is, you can get an extender...
