So a forward facing 3-point blower? Forward motion operation? Way nicer on the neck etc....

Please don't post...get a bigger tractor...comments, I'm happy with what I have (translation...the wife said no).
How much higher do you need? I put R4’s for the 23S on mine for winter duties which gives me another 2 inches in height.Thought about getting a forward facing 3pt blower but the BX1880 isn't tall enough to drive over the drifts I get in order to allow the blower to do it's job.

Thigh to waist high drifts. Packs in hard so you can almost, but not quite, drive on them. I've had to jog my way out more than once and that's in 4WD, dif locked, and chains all around.
Built a house in the middle of a hay field. If we get 2" of snow the wind blows it into the driveway like we got feet of snow. One snow storm and I'm plowing for 3 days unless it's wet and lays down. Planted trees, put up snow fence (the wind bent the metal posts). But it's a nice house with a nice view, so I suck it up and deal with it for a couple of months per year.
I know you like your 1880 but it may be time for a larger tractor with the larger snow blower. I remember those days in the 60's when we would get that kind of snow here in minnesota. Not any more. Once in awhile we get a good dumping but few and far between. Good luck
Am still eying that 3 point blower. A little over a grand cheaper than any place else I find on the net. Said used once. Want's $2100but think I could get him down to $2000. But hate having something that sits a long time.

It's a fantastic build -- very professional.That is a great cab build. You should be making cabs for a living. Not sure the costs to build it but you could make a living building cabs. Congrats on a good job building it.
But if he tried to make them for a living he'd have to compete with all the internet forums complaining nice cabs cost too much.
$1,200 materials + 120 hours x (say) $40/hr = $6,000 right there with no provision for overhead (like heating the shop and powering the tools) or shipping or insurance or ...
100% true. make sure it works while the weather doeant suck. making last minute fixes during a blizzard is just not fun.
Yes it is. Looked at it today. Need to take my tractor over to his place to see if it will fit on my quick attach on my 3 point. Measured mine before going over. Might not fit. If it doesn’t fit, will have to pass on it.
Is maintenance a PITA on these snow blowers? I know when I had my walk behind, wasn't much to do but change the oil on the engine. Also, the PTO shaft. How much is to much length? When I hook this up tomorrow to see if it will go on quick attach, will test up and down to see how much length there is. Am leaning toward getting this but depends on how much he is willing to come down.

Check all bolts for tightness.
Also, my B2782B front mount blower's reduction gear bearings set screws tend to loosen. Check bearings set screws.
Grease all grease nipples and pto shaft body.
Lubricate drive chain(s) as per maintenance manual.
The PTO shaft at maximum extent should have at least 4 - 6" overlapping shafts., and should never bottom out at minimum length (max height raised) of snowblower.
