Hi all,
I just took delivery of an L2900 GST. From the SN, I'm thinking it was built in '98 or '99. It was little used for the last 10 years and has about 1200 hours on it.
It's in good shape and runs well, but I'd like to set my own baseline for maintenance and repairs, so I'm having it trailered to a Kubota dealership that's just a few miles away.
I know it needs a new air filter and fan belt, but I wonder if there are other things you'd have a mechanic check while it's in the shop. I don't want to pay for delivery fees or on-site mechanics any more than I have to, so I'd rather pay early for maintenance than wait until things go south.
This is my first tractor, and I'll learn how to do some of the routine maintenance myself, but for now, I'd like a certified mechanic to check it over and possibly head off future problems.
What would you ask them to check? Thanks for any tips, ideas, etc.
