Hello

I have been looking at some "Sampson Ind XHD Ultra tires (16.9 -24 R-4)
Does anyone have any feedback on these tires..?? I found Goodyears (now owned by Titan) that are almost double (NOS).
I was getting some genric tires for my B7200 and they would rot after about 3 years. I finally said F;*^ it and bought GoodYear's "Duratorque" "NINE" years ago..that still look "brand new" today ...Are these Ultra's like the Generics ..???
or do they have some staying power, like the GoodYears...??
Thank You in advance

You might not get much feedback if folks have never tried them.

If you're getting rot quickly, the rubber is probably not UV stabilized which is pretty horrendous, so I agree to stay away from those generics!

I can't say anything about that particular brand but we tried several off brands at the quarry on our skid steers over the years. Yes they were cheaper to buy but most would only last a month or two and would either be worn out or cut to the point they couldn't be fixed. We started using Michelin radials which cost about 2.5x more but they lasted between 6 months to a year.

In the long run the name brand was the only was to go.

After owning it for 10 years and with around 1,100 hours of use I sold the B7500 a few years ago. The Titan tires looked new except for a little wear on the rears and a much larger amount of wear on the fronts. No cracking or dry rot. The tractor was stored in a shed. I assumed that is what would be expected.
