I will start by saying I just bought this well used RTV 900!!! We were using it today to take out the garbage bins. All of a sudden it spit all the hydraulic fluid out on the gravel. Engine starts and runs normal! I can see a rupture in the plastic reservoir tank for the hydraulic dump box! What caused this? Other than replacing the plastic tank, how do I repair It?

OK, I'll help but first ..WHICh RTV ??
there's 10-12 versions and it's a PITA to find/open each at Can Kub parts to see if a model HAS hydraulic tilt on the bed......

wow, must be an original ( rtv900A ) ?
kub can list 900G through 900X....

good idea from NFH ! ..it could be a plugged VENT cap though. you should be able to blow mouth air through it.

overfilled
vent plugged
water in it
could be a lot of things, and the original post really doesn't give much to go on
or maybe it was broken already when you bought it?

One number missing in the serial makes a difference:

Is it Orange or is it Camo?

If its Orange then it's a RTV900W6
If its Camo then it's a RTV900R6

Does the tank look like this?

It is Orange.
And,yes the tank does look Like That!
Sounds like you may have an idea what happened?
I would have to see pictures to have a good guess as to what happed to it or why.
You can not run it like that as you will fry the hydraulic pump and possibly do engine damage to it.

If you can tell me specifically what photos you would like to see. I will take them tomorrow and get them to you.
It seems to drive okay! You don’t think we should use it?

No, don't keep running it as the hydraulic system will get damaged!
And possibly damage the engine too.

Take a picture of the rupture and anything else you find.
